Re: Stanley Under Investigation
Please also remember the original charges against Wimbledon were placed by their respective league authority so this may not have any actual bearing on our decision as we are also being charged by our own league authority who may have a totally seperate set of differentiating rules than the Ryman. Looks like Wimbledon took the charges further up, ie to the FA for appeal and it seems to have resulted in a reprieval of kinds - good on em..

Re: Stanley Under Investigation
Its only surmise but if in relation to Chris Mcgrail Stanley's only offence was not ensuring that Preston had served the appropriate notice on the FA the Football League Stanley and the player who suffered from this failure, what detriment did they incur?
Is anyone seriously saying that the Football League or the FA would have vetoed the loan had they received formal notice? To deduct points over such a technicality jeopardising Stanley's position in the Football League only recently resumed after a 44 year absence when there are worse sides - not least Boston and Torquay - would be totally ridiculous. As to the Wrexham game I don't see how we can have points deducted for keeping our own sub goal keeper on the bench when we are told Leeds were only fined £2000 for keeping an ineligible to play goal keeper on their bench. |

Re: Stanley Under Investigation
does it work like normal court that if found innocent, or on appeal, the Football League have to pick up the tab?
I dont know about anybody else but I resigned myself to seven points weeks ago, anything less is a bonus and that is how I'd prefer to think to as not to be 'unexpectedly' walloped with a seven point deduction. BUt saying that I am now feeling quietly confident. The club made a statement at the time that basically told us the charges have been laid - no further comment. That gave a feeling of forboding, but the comments made by Mr Bean - although still giving away no further information - instilled a more positive feeling than what I had. I just wish Mr Bean had met a reporter weeks ago....... |

"how could leeds of been deducted points in that game when they lost it !! totally different situation" which would be fair enough if I didn't support Sheffield Wednesday. |

Re: Stanley Under Investigation
The guy's a W@nk3r. He should be in Jail.
He claims the league want Boston out, I wonder why? You've got to feel sorry for their fans though. |
Re: Stanley Under Investigation
Why am I not surprised at anything that comes out of that ******* mouth? Sour grapes isn't in it! He was so obviously grasping at straws when he was bleating on about what should happen to us and in this 'speech' he's just tryin to justify what he said. Yes I do feel sorry for Bostons fans, I might not always agree with Coley but compared to Evans he's a bloody angel.

Re: Stanley Under Investigation
good one from wrexham and tbh don't blame bury manager from being annoyed after what they went through with the league, difference is he didn't make it personal to stanley just and attack on the football league, he even wished us luck...
Anyway back to Boston  |
