good luck this morning Eric

Can't wait for the verdict! cant wait to read the other sites opinion of the verdict.

they're writing the headlines as we speak:

"cheating Stanley get away with it"

or

"cheating Stanley get their comeuppance"

or

" should have been more than xyz points!"

11am? thats when we always have the minutes silences isn't it?

Wynonie Harris 30-03-2007 07:22

Re: good luck this morning Eric

Yeah, let's hope Mr Bean does the business for us. Feeling very nervous at the moment!

West Ham reckoned to be only fined, not deducted any points. One law for the rich................

maccawozzagod 30-03-2007 08:21

Re: good luck this morning Eric

Mr Bean cited numerous precedents ..... so that should mean we are treated the same, shouldn't it?

Kiwi John 30-03-2007 08:46

Re: good luck this morning Eric

Just hope and pray Mr Bean isn't just 'grandstanding'.What time do you really expect to hear something?

Outback Ozzy 30-03-2007 08:52

Re: good luck this morning Eric

Lets just say there are a lot of hopeful people associated with Accrington Stanley this morning. I have just come in off nights and I do not think I will be able to sleep until I have seen the outcome of this case. As Kiwi John says, Good Luck to Eric and all the team in Preston this morning.

Kiwi, just for interest - the hearing starts at 1100 local (about 2200 your time) and I would think that a decision should have been made by 1300 local - midnight your time

Wynonie Harris 30-03-2007 08:54

Re: good luck this morning Eric

According to the Observer, it starts at 11am, the football league present their case, we present ours, then the committee make a decision. Could be early afternoon, I suppose.

Kiwi John 30-03-2007 09:01

Thanks for that guys. Will have to check out here when I wake up. And BTW OO , it was Macca who conveyed the best wishes to Eric, but I naturally concur. :)

as one of the players was a keeper who was only on the sub's bench against Wrexham surely that would not count.

Doug 30-03-2007 09:49

Re: good luck this morning Eric

All the best Stanley, irrespective of the outcome, even if it’s bad the club can bounce back. All it needs is faith and the faithful to stand up and be counted. 44 years in the wilderness couldn’t kill us, this is nothing but a bruise caused by bitter men. On Stanley On.

Urban Spaceman 30-03-2007 09:54

Re: good luck this morning Eric

I am an optimist by nature, and this may not be as bad as was originally thought.

Good luck to the entire team acting for Stanley, and whatever the outcome, Stanley will bounce back. Noone can keep the Stanley spirit down for long ! :D :D :D

Try VLC Media Player Mel. It works fine instead of winamp. Once installed you click the use Winamp option on the 2BR site. http://www.videolan.org/vlc/. It won't mess up your system either.

WELL WELL WELL

firstly, we haven't 'got away' with anything, the penalty was appropriate for the error.

Thank you to those who had faith and didnt slag us off without knowing the facts. Me and eric were terrified this morning on the way there.

There will not be a repeat of this, we live & learn.

Good luck to the lads for the next few weeks, had 2 good results from the last 2 matches, lets keep winning points....

I was tracking this on and off all day in Leeds. The longer it went on the more confident I was that there would be no points deduction.

Let's make this the spring board to ensuring League survival hopefully at the expense of those sought to capitalise on our innocent and harmless mistakes to save themselves - starting tomorrow.

With our attacking record bolstered by Leighton's return and our new found resilience in defence there's no reason why we cannot get the results to be safe by the Macclesfield game - and I include Walsall, Hartlepool (I think a draw) and Shrewsbury.

Redash 30-03-2007 21:12

Fantastic news. (no Point deduction)
This just goes to show that small minded, petty, sad, look how important we are types, jobsworths with nothing better to, who get to be in charge of things, have to make things look like terrible crimes, just to justify their positions.
It makes me sick that their pettiness has cost us £6000 + Mr Beans fees, just so they can validate their over-staffed and over-sensitive jobs.

Evans was caught out cheating the league, the taxman and the country, we failed to check some paperwork. In your opinion who deserved to have their league status removed.
To all Boston fans I feel very sorry for you to have such asses running your club.

Even down south in the offices of a certain London Borough folks were watching the bbc website for the outcome. I was on a phonecall when one of the lads (Liverpool fan) rushed down to my desk signing zero's with his fingers. As prof.Unwin might have said, "oh what deeply joyload flood my soul".
Lets hope that the euphoria gives the lads an extra yard of pace at Walsall. Pity the game clashes with my ruby wedding anni - tho the wife said I can still go, don't want to risk singing soprano everafter if she doesn't really mean it ! Know what I mean ?:Banane04:

And to add, well done all involved in the case we've had to answer(farce in my book), i'm sure that not just myself has been expecting the worst, and i can appreciate the way the club have handled this serious(or not so) matter, I am absolutely overjoyed we've got what we deserved.

And before anyone starts with the 6K, iI really don't give a monkey's, It could have been 100K and i'd still been happy. I reckon the 7 points would have cost us much much more...

No Mike these are not Lincoln City fans.

As I understand it from a Boston supporting friend it started out as a Boston fanzine site where they could crib their great rivals the Imps.

However their great favourites Mr Evans and Co have given the Boston Supporters more than enough to talk about.

Its a Boston fans site!
