U12's admittance

Seems that the admittance entrance fee for U12's have changed again  as cant see the family ticket deal they did either:confused: . On Kens poster it says about stanley juniors to which non are a member & upon checking site it looks like an U12's footy team setup. Seems once again things change & no information, as i thought stanley were encouraging youth support.

Whats the deal for saturdays match i've got 2/3 U12's possibly going  & this could make the difference if i can afford to go now:(

accymel 05-04-2007 10:15

Re: U12's admittance

Well i thought they do but the fishy site as always make it complicated lol, but on ticket admittance prices it says u have to be a member of Stanley juniors for free otherwise the admittance is as consessions  mind u might be an idea to spell it out proper on there tho....cos im confused:confused:

John_Timmins 05-04-2007 10:18

Re: U12's admittance

Ironically aside from the cost of petrol it will be £5 cheaper for us to go and sit in St Andrews this weekend as it would for us to go to FES. Oh well there's housework to be done :D

The idea is to get names on a database. It's called targetted marketing. :)

Get a clue... when the kids last went before the free one

a] u didnt have to fill a form
b] just go in for ticket admittance then go

- - now i have to fill a form in now sorry that IS NEWS TO ME!!!! Do i have to bring birth certs in to prove ..

a] they are mine
b] they are under 12

So whats the score is all i mearely asked - god help newbies to stanley board if this is the attitude for asking that!!

You need to calm down.

I don't bring children to the game but I am well aware of the 'new' process. I don't live in Accrington, so all my information comes mainly from this messageboard.

Many of your comments on this thread are massive over reactions to something that has been in operation for a good while now. You were told the process earlier on in the thread, but you still continued to moan and groan.

Fill in the form and your kids will get in for nothing! Even I can understand that.

Re: U12's admittance

To all those who have kids and are now confused!!!!!

nothing has changed!!!

register your kid by filling out the little form in the club shop, they will then be issued with a card and a free ticket, show the card to the ticket office for your free ticket every game. This is as it has been since the club started the free under 12's initiative. Teething troubles aside!

I think where Mel is confused (outside of normal boundaries!!!!:p ) it that stanley juniors are the kids footy teams that represent the club in the kids leagues, and junior reds is the under 12's thing.

Of course i could get to the club on saturday to work my turnstile and find that everything has changed but to do so wouldn't make any sense after its worked so well so far. Then again this is accy stanley and the possibilities are endless!!!!!:D

accymel 06-04-2007 11:40

Re: U12's admittance

Why is everyone making out im either thick, over reacting or ready for a corronary:confused: Im only confused because nothing has been said not on website it wasnt till i saw Kens poster that got me to this question. There is no info of the Junior Reds memberships on the fishy site which should be the source of info, nor have i seen it on this forum [please point that out to me in case i did miss it whilst away, i shall opologise]. The last time i brought the kids [under 12's are a fickle bunch when footy & doing their own things come into it] was before xmas which was U 12's free u had to get a ticket stub from the club store - NO filling forms so now u can see the confusion i was under till John put me straight.

What was most annoying was the attitude that i was moaning or having a go at the club brigade whom didnt have the nerve to say something here but to leave a snotty message, really after asking a genuine question!!! I was mearely shocked that alterations to the U12's had taken place without knowing - thats all!! Also was hoping to bring a friend but cant because would cost more cos wouldnt qualify for a child U12 because of having to be a member - which for floating supporting fans not away ones, can make the difference them coming or not ----- thought we needed aas much attendance as we could:rolleyes: maybe something that needs a rethink for floating fans then!

Good suggestion put the junior reds details on the fishy site on its own page as to whether u can register online in store or what, so avoids un neccessary confusion - not just to me but everyone!!

I think you have missed the point accymel is trying to make. People keep saying the same scheme has not changed yet she knows from personal experince that she has not filled in a form to obtain free tickets. All she is trying to point out that she was not aware that things had changed.

Thank the club for the kind offer ? What sort of statement is that. You need all the fans you can get, I suggest they thank them for attending

It is just this sort of attitude that puts people off coming to the FES......Accymel asked a reasonable question and gets a barrage of unreasonable responses

And as for thanking the club for the 'kind offer', Im afraid I agree with the last poster!

To be fair, she also made a series of unfounded accusations too, which was my main issue with this thread. For example, accusing the club of harvesting names and addresses so as to target mail children. I know this train of thought was encouraged by another poster (LancsDave), but it just goes to show how ridiculous this thread had become.

Yes there should be a page on the website that clearly explains the process, but there isn't. The process was explained by John Timmins and that should have been the end of it. It's not complicated is it?

Not sure I was encouraging it more suggesting why they should fill in a form. Nor do I see anything wrong with it, the club can quite easily use the details to write to the children themselves or the parents of the children regarding anything Stanley. Does it ask for date of birth on the form, if so a card from the club would probably make the child feel special and in that respect it's doing it's job.

To me it's what football clubs should be doing if they are doing there job correctly, especially at levels under the premier league where publicity isn't quite the same and being pro-active takes on a far more important role.

accymel 06-04-2007 13:12

Re: U12's admittance

To end this thread with attitudes of Poppy - you are a disgrace to the club you are supposed to represent, i sooo hope Rob sees that, TM you havent helped but jump on the bandwagon, if no such information is available then specualtion will amount, the karma taker - not helpful either u couldnt face me or even sign it!

Thank you to the genuine kindness of other supporters whom are the ones that get people to come & made everyone welcome. Thanks Pete you know where im coming from - appreciate trying to explain that to the critics.

I have made desicion i shall not be attending tommorows match on principle [yes i do have & stick to them] as poppy has made it clear i should be licking her feet for the pleasure as the club is doing me a favour, also to make a serious point about some stanley attitudes within this forum, especially representatives/employees from the club. Seems the club & some fans are going to have to 'get real' in the battle of supporters - even their own!!!!

Sorry to anyone for my abruptness when hacked off i tend to be, but my point is the same. Like anything in life, money is an issue even with fans:D

I'll look forward to Dan & Kaz's commentry instead.
