I have updated the profiles on the official site and is the official list as of 5pm yesterday. Squad numbers will not be given until about a week before the season begins and player statistics will be updated as well before the season starts .

Sean Whalley and (if he plays there) John Miles notwithstanding could we say we had experienced strength in depth on the flanks after the departures of Messrs Roberts and Todd?

Bobby Grant showed great promise at Milton Keynes but he is only just starting out.

As a minimum I think we could do with a left sided midfielder (assuming Sean Whalley moves to the right) at least one more centre back and competition/cover at left back. Even that leaves us very thin for suspensions and injuries.

Think you're right there Ben.

By my reckoning we need 3 more league-proven defenders and a left sided player for a solid squad.

It's looking very good though for this stage of closed season.

dont forget 3 of the squad members goalkeepers so that cuts the squad down a bit

Bobby Grant just going into his second year as a scholar also look out for another talented youngster Chris Turner I think the pair of them played against Clitheroe operating on the flanks. We still desperately need a proven goalscorer to work with Mullin.:D:D

Going back to a proven striker one who is available is Karl Hawley who is available after leaving Carlisle he was League Two player of the year 2006 netting over 20 goals and again was last seasons Top Scorer with 12 goals in League One. Maybe wouldn't want to step down a league but if you don't ask you don't get!:):)
