Experienced Striker Wanted!!

Just wondered what other peoples views are on who they would like to see in the Red & White next season alongside Paul Mullin? My personal view is either Karl Hawley or Gareth Seddon. :D :D :D

We have!! I think a useful addition but not prolific, and we need strength in depth if we want to move on from last season and challenge at the Top end of the League.

He played right side midfield when he scored twice against us KJ, but who knows? Brown, Miles, McGivern, Boco, Whalley.

I'd be more interested in us signing defenders, Rocky is looking pretty lonely at the moment. :(

Quite right Oggy. A poor defense cost us last season and should be the main priority for this coming campaign.

Ardilles at Spurs tried it and look where he is now.

We were amongst the highest scorers in the league, but had the next worst defensive record. We just avoided relegation and that speaks for itself.

The quote is attributed to the late great Brian Clough who used it as his team ethos at Derby County as he led them to the League Championship and into Europe.

I'm sure Clough isn't the only one to use that saying. I think it can be traced back to Boadicea in AD61, just before the Iceni's glorious but bloody war against the Romans*.

I have to agree that we really need to be bolstering our defence and if we are lucky enough to fall upon a striker too then I won't be moaning

Hmm think I said if we are lucky enough to fall upon a striker... don't threaten anyone with me falling on them...they'd run very quickly in the other direction :D
