Danny Carlton???

was just looking on our own forum, and there is speculation danny could be on his way out due to him being out of contract, was just wondering if there had been any speculation about him down at your place, just thought there might have been as there usually is when it concerns one of our players leaving our club?

I'd have thought that he'd have been looking for a club in a higher league? Seems like it'd make more sense to me.

I've heard from a couple of Blackpool fans that he might be on his way there, nothing other than that though.

Signed for Carlisle United this morning.

Good move for DC as he wasn't first choice striker next season. That mantle will fall possibly on an International striker who has not re-signed for his present club.....so I'm reliably told.

With other experienced league players being lined up, things should be interesting next season.

Any truth that Blackburn has gone to Swindon too? Will you be able to raise a team for next season? ;)

there seems to be a lot of truth in the rumour !

Carlton going wasnt too bad as he would have been on the bench but losing Jesus is like when Accy lost Craney or Roberts.

At least you've got the summer to recover from the loss and make the team work without him, it was a miracle that we survived losing Craney & Roberts mid-season.

Could he be coming our way?

Accrington Stanley keen on striker Carlton (From Lancashire Telegraph)

Re: Danny Carlton???

A massive step forward if we could pull that off, but surely we wouldn't be able to afford him, would we?

completion of the deal has been ‘a couple of weeks away’ for almost two months, but chief executive Rob Heys is hopeful that the less stressful summer period will allow time for negotiations to conclude.

Could not happen anywhere else.......:):)

Re: Danny Carlton???

bearing in mind he was on a reputed £3k a week at Carlsle I know he will have to lower his salary aspirations but if you have money for a striker it would be better given to Paul Mullin than Danny Carlton.
things may be clearer after tonight. it is our annual sponsors gala night and some of the players including Carlton may be there so a bit of gossip might come out !
