apologies for the quality of the image, my camera appears not to be working so its good old webcam again!


I'm REALLY, REALLY pleased with the umbrellas as they are bigger than I imagined and the print looks good, although could have been bigger. I was also expecting to receive them in about a fortnight so to get them in time for the Carnival and with the planned deluge being forecast ..........

available in black, white, red and blue at a fiver each and also available in hi-viz green at £7. Five of each to begin with so grab one early if you have a preferred colour

we sold around half of stock at the Carnival so we are going great guns already. Having almost broken even on the initial outlay we can now start looking towards the next batch of stuff, hopefully we will have further items available by the start of the season.

Many thanks to the many people who did buy our stuff yesterday and I hope you like it enough to buy more.

Must say a big thanks to accymad and ukcowboy for modelling the t-shirts when asked.... you'll both be on the catwalk before you know it :D

The accy stanley ladies for walking around with brolley and shopping bag...

Macca for wearing practically the whole stock on the float :rolleyes:

Sparkie for being so damn organised at putting everything out on the stall... please can you come and organise my wardrobe into m & xl :D

Was really chuffed with how much interest there was in alot of the stock and especially with how much we managed to sell...

beware of the answer you might get though if you question the price of the brollies!!! :rolleyes::p

Just wanted to say that it was an excellent effort by all who ran the stall yesterday, and I think we were all pleasantly surprised with the initial reaction to the new OSC merchandise..........and Baggie before you say owt, yes we may have to fight harder to sell stuff after the ' novelty ' wears off, however to almost break even on a first outing ( see Maccas earlier post ), is in my opinion quite a feat, and well worth all the hard work/effort put in by all OSC members involved...........Once again, well done all involved!

Just out of interest, did the football club have any kind of official representation at the carnival, or associated events?

Tbh, TM, there was no official representation from the club, other than the OSC stall did carry some of the club merchandise as well as our own brand. Personally, I think it was an opportunity missed by the club to ingratiate (sp) itself to the Town and perhaps get a few more bodies through the gate.

in as many places as feasibly possible!

we will have the stuff on the website sooner or later and stuff can be ordered from there, in person at the sportsbar or Crown (whichever one we get to drink in) or just by good old fashioned PM on here!

We will also try to have a presence at any major local events.

Couldn't agree more. Whilst the OSC presence did raise the awareness of the public, some sort of representation from the club would have not gone amiss either. As you say, an opportunity missed.

One or two players signing autographs would have generated a lot of interest.

Has the "Football in the Community Officer" been appointed? The job was advertised on 10 May. The carnival would have been an ideal starting point for him/her.

we made another £81 at last nights meeting so I think that things are going really well to say we haven't started teh season yet and have sold nearly half of our stock.

Cart On Stanley was mentioned and did feature and was our best seller
We are They was alluded to in a a different thread and was used
we also had a Coley image

Designs for the t-shirts were done by Samf on here as a direct result of the original thread and Zero did the design for the Cart On shirt.

The thread was printed off and used at one of the merchandise meetings. Out of the thirty or forty ideas only a handful were 'use-able' but it was more a case of getting ideas from which we can expand from. And will.

If anybody has any further ideas please feel free to send them to us and if they are any good we can work with em!
