According to the Lancashire Telegraph Stanley are waiting for the medical report to arrive Today so they can have a good look at it before making a descision.

Not about your Scottish lad this one, but looks as though we both could be chasing the same Conference defender who has just played for England C.

I suspect that you guys could be favourites as he's based on Merseyside!

It’s been reported in today’s LET that the Scottish defender deal has stalled due to him not being able to prove his fitness. He has had a hip operation and hasn’t trained since, if any deal is to be done it won’t be done till the middle of next month.

Any body have any idea of this could be now we have another clue?

Why does the official site not update on these things???

I'm glad the club are being cautious about this player, as we've been burnt before when signing players who were already crocked.

Apparently the club will be talking to Liverpool this week about bringing Godwin Antwi back for next season. Hope that one comes off.

I would imangine the Club don't put info on site about particular players for fear of alerting other clubs to players availability and in instances like this that maybe do not work out or perhaps complications that could arise. Liverpool report back for pre season training on Thursday so hopefully we might get news about Godwin early next week. I would be more impressed if we could get him on a permanent deal depends what Rafa is doing with reseves and youth teams now Steve Heighway is no longer there and how high Godwin is up the pecking order.:):)

We cannot be waiting on players till the middle of next month. We cannot be taking chances on signing for key positions so late in the day. In my view we still need two proven central defenders and someone to replace Gary Roberts on the left.
