OSC meeting - date change

unfortunately the meeting scheduled for monday night has been changed to tuesday night. This is due to the windows and doors being changed in the clubhouse on monday afternoon/evening.

The meeting will still take place at 7pm and still in the clubhouse but tuesday night. Could any of you who do usually come please make sure that any non-onliners know the score. I'll try to ring all the usual suspects but there is always one who slips the net!

items on the agenda will be:

the current state of play with the merchandise range
the next move by stanleys'
season curtain raiser event
the forthcoming Mela and Barrowford shows
hopefully an update on memberships

there will be other items on the agenda but thats it off the top of my head. You can also buy any items from the merchandise range if you have not already.

We'll try to be as quick as possible with this meeting as we said that we'll be a little more informal over the summer months.

Macca can I give you my apologies now. I am working Tuesday night, so no chance of me or the missus coming. However, I am interested when the Mela is, coz as I missed the carnival, I would like to assist in any way I can.

Just a thought?

I want to but can’t. So would it be possible to do it online. i.e. Through something like messenger with a web cam etc.

Re: OSC meeting - date change

I'd love to do it just for a one-off special, maybe a Fans Forum or something.

We have talked about it before and then kyboshed it for some reason or other that I can't remember. Will talk to my IT guy again and see what happens!

MATT????????????????????

Re: OSC meeting - date change

How am I the IT guy now? I can barely work a PC myself!

I know how to work messengers, webcams, microphones etc. thats no problem... The main problem is - THERE IS NO COMPUTER (as far as I'm aware) IN THE SPORTS BAR!!

I would offer my laptop but its naff for connections.

maccawozzagod 27-06-2007 19:32

Re: OSC meeting - date change

we could possibly do a one-off in the Gazelle Lounge. They will have obviously have all the connections in that area for the offices and it would be easier than running cable to the sportsbar.

Red-Osbornello 27-06-2007 19:35

Re: OSC meeting - date change

We can look into it. Where's the Gazelle Lounge?

maccawozzagod 27-06-2007 20:36

Re: OSC meeting - date change

next door to the shop and leads directly out to the directors box

KIPAX 27-06-2007 20:42

Re: OSC meeting - date change

eeerm hate to say this but it's shop then offices then gazzelle lounge... accesible from the club main entrance then turn right.. or from directors area in stands

What about having an odd meeting on a Saturday before a home game? I would love to get involved but during the week is a definate no no!!:):)

KIPAX 27-06-2007 20:58

Re: OSC meeting - date change

Actually thats a simple but good idea pendle.. I dont know why the supporters club is monday nights.. but I started going years ago and its always been monday nights... Sat pre mach seems simplisticly perfect to get most fans there... venue might be awkward but seems so obviouse...

Sounds like a plan to me:)

Re: OSC meeting - date change

logistically I could imagine Saturday being a nightmare TBH.

What time would you start? where would you have it? how many people would (not go to) be there with little or no interest in proceedings? What if away fans were present?

Too many little things that add up to a big fat no really.

The other concession is that having it on a monday night is supposed to be a way of getting a bit more money into the club on a day when there wouldn't otherwise be any. I know from years ago they had tried to change the day, the time of start and the venue all in separate goes and noe ever met with any noteable success. Monday nights suit more than it doesn't so will stay for the foreseeable future. I'd love you to come Pendle but moving from monday would not suit the majority of the present attendees.

I only suggested an odd one!:):) How are you going to tackle OSC memberships this season from the Crown?

What about a fans forum instead say maybe once a month or once every two month start it with the OSC and if it takes off get the club involved. It would hopefully attract more interest for you guys get a few more volunteers and make supporters feel that they can play a part no matter how small similar to this site!! (I know that's what the OSC is all about but it would not jepordise what great work you guys already do and like I say it might just spark a few more people to become involved or let them know what you are all about as not everyone has accsess to the internet):):)

Re: OSC meeting - date change

.... the question was 'Which city in England has more canals than Venice?'
and just as he asked the question a picture of Sheffield was boradcast on the telly in front of everybody! it was a gimme of a joke that not everybody found as funny as we did. You probably had to be there to appreciate it.
