The Foxes (Leicester city)

Is this game set to be all ticket like the notts forest ccr1 game last season?

maccawozzagod 27-06-2007 19:28

Re: The Foxes (Leicester city)

in lieu of the poor attendance for that game I wouldn't have thought so, but I think it's up to the police innit

Jesus_was_A_red_ 27-06-2007 19:42

Re: The Foxes (Leicester city)

Then it probably will be all ticket. Its being in the carling cup etc that adds limelight to our league survival last season, I mean we could of all been watching ebfleet? has anyone Ever heard of these before because i usually scout all the way through the pyramid now and again and i have never heard of this team. Looking forward to this one as it takes a second glance when you see Accrington Stanley V Leciester City - Magic. Have we ever been beaten in the FA Cup proper and Carling Cup at the crown. The omens look good. If only we can get that Man Utd away in a cup we and eric will be laughing for years.

Re: The Foxes (Leicester city)

I think you'll find they used to be known as Gravesend and Northfleet

Jesus_was_A_red_ 27-06-2007 19:46

Re: The Foxes (Leicester city)

ok. I have heard of them.

maccawozzagod 27-06-2007 20:04

Re: The Foxes (Leicester city)

could they not just have added a bit on the end?
Gravesend and Northfleet and Ebbsfleet United and Redbridge or something?

K.S.H 27-06-2007 21:01

Re: The Foxes (Leicester city)

Is Ebsfleet not a new towny thing like Milton Keynes?

Re: The Foxes (Leicester city)

First round of Carling Cup is notoriously poorly attended at most grounds. Stanley might get a few more than normal on because it's your first competitive home game of the season which is unusual and everyone will be chomping at the bit to see some action.

Can't see more than a few hundred ( Max 500 ) from Leicester, they don't travel in great numbers, dissapointing when you see their home attendances in comparison.

Dave, typical dingle so hungover from 'the good old days, when the mighty clarets were champions' that nothing but the napoli side of the 60s appearing downt turf would give you a buzz. Leicester are a bigger club than you lot. You took 300 to norwich we'd take more than that. If Accrington town turns up for the highest ranked team we have played a competive game against since your lot were a decent side then 500 leicester will add to 3500 stanley fans.

Don't recall saying they weren't

Don't recall playing them in the 1st round of that Carling Cup but I'll check. Would have to e some geographiclal shake up for you to take 300 there in the 1st round of the Carling Cup. You are in the Northern section and they are in the Southern section.

I'm pretty sure that is what I said. You may get a few more than usual on, and they might bring 500. According to my limited knowledge of the FES that still leaves 1,000 short of being a requirement for all ticket. I'm pretty sure thats what you asked at the start of the thread and thats what I commented on.

Norwich - league match.

You bemoaning leciesters shoddy support.

Ultimate glory seekers who slag off every other club except burnerlee. Ive met people all over who hate you lot and most dont know why. Must be instinct.

Only time burnley can fill turd moor is when rovers make the short trip down the m65. And thats on the possibilty of smashing your own town up.

Re: The Foxes (Leicester city)

One more little tin pot dirty point.
When burnley pledged there devoted love for stanley by rearranging games to suit both clubs through the police it was decided that many more burnley fans watch stanley than our other neighbours. Rubbish. If it wasnt for away fans attendance last season our gates would of been down on the previous year.

If you say so. My original post was polite and relevant to the question you asked. I'm a visitor in this forum and have quite a bit of banter with most of the Stanley fans on here. If you want to turn it in to an I Hate Burnley thing go ahead without me, I have more respect for the forum to continue the discussion

This reminds me of my English homework from time long ago. You'd have to correct the spellings and add punctuation to make sense of the sentence. They were never this hard though.

Re: The Foxes (Leicester city)

Dave i thought you was an accrington based claret who attends stanley but is also a sarcastic big brother element. We dont envy Burnley. This is a big game for stanley after watching skelmersdale in paper cups for years. And i thought you were trying to say its only the carling cup 1st round we (the clarets) get knocked early every year because its just not important, and no ones bothered.

You really do have a problem with Burnley, don't you?

The reason I posted is, it doesn't make any sense, simple as that. :)

Re: The Foxes (Leicester city)

No. I do not have a problem with the 'land that time forgot.' I just do not like them, like the majority of the country. Have you heard the accent on a Burnley man? It certainly does not sound like ourselves. I was simply taking Wee Wee out of that aspect. Sorry Mr spellcheck.

Tin Monkey 28-06-2007 20:44

Re: The Foxes (Leicester city)

I very much doubt 'the rest of the country' don't like Burnley. The rest of the country probably couldn't care less about Burnley, Accrington, or most other places in Lancashire.

I know many of you are part-time dingles anyway (the ones who get touchy when the name is said in vain). It was in 442 magazine in a national poll a couple of years ago. Most hated club Burnley fc, almost half didnt know why.
Burnley fans eat:Banane49:with there feet

See you can do it if you try, 9/10. :p

Ah, similar to Swift, and the feuding between the Lilliputians and the Blefuscudans, cool, got you now. Think Swift's funnier though. :)

That's right. Everybody, except you, are really Burnley fans and only go on the Stanley to annoy you.

So they hate something, but don't know why? Hmmm... seems like they're employing the same logic as you. :D

I was defending the importance of the big game. I feel no affection to them as you have guessed.

Apparently the accent is so different that it nearly qualifies as another language. I used to work in Burnley. How did I ever manage?

Pack of lies, it's well documented throughout the football league that nobody works in Burnley. There are no jobs and all visitors are robbed at gunpoint on the border. :p
