OSC website

The new website will be launching next week some time.

There will be a lot more information on it within weeks and will contain information for the away fans as well such as where to drink and eat around the town (Imperial?)

There will be a up to date gallery on that will feature a little more than just the OSC do's

There will be an online shop. Although this will not run immediately owing to costs incurred in doing such a thing, we will wait until we have more stock lines until we run that one. There will however be a image gallery on this page that we will update every time we add a new line.

The forum will be up and running again and will be monitored more frequently to ensure the spammers and pornographers are kept away. Please do not imagine we will try to take people away from this site for general chat as that will not be the aim. But, if for some reason Accy Web ever goes down again for afew days like it did last year, then this will be the place to talk Stanley rather than a temp site that nobody ever registers for.

We will maintain archives rather than deleting old information. I'd like to have a list spanning years that details all the old winners of various awards such as Player of the Year, Young Player of the Year and Supporter of the Year.

We will be trying to attract sponsors to the site as well to bring in a little extra money. Any help in contacting people to do this will be gratefully received. Potentially we would be looking for thirty pounds for a years mooch on the site. You will get a standard size logo on the front page as per the fishy site and will also get a link on our links page. Please speak to your bosses at work for this one as it is a great way to help the club for a very small outlay.

I would like to have content such as match reports on there, although they don't need to be Independent on Sunday stylee - more like fanzine bias would be fine! If anybody would like to volunteer to do anything like this then please get in touch. Maybe even ref watch type features. A league table. Again I reiterate taht if you want it then we'll try to have it. But be prepared to do some work for it!

Members or non-members, old or young, male or female, we all have something to offer and I would like as many people as possible to offer something. Lets get the website up to standard and then work from there. Lets show all of football what can be acheived if enough people pull together.

Re: OSC website

Easiest way to hit a lot of business people is google particular areas of high density office and business locations (e.g. in Pendle Lomeshaye industrial estate in Nelson) do a sort of circular e-mail of who you are (OSC), what you are offering (Website Sponsorship) and what you want to achieve (raise the profile of OSC & Accrington Stanley) I would suggest that some of this could be done with Stanley in terms of offering Corparate packages. Then just e-mail the relevant business's (copy & paste the e-mail so only new entry is e-mail address on each e-mail) costs nothing just a bit of time. Tried a similar thing for the show this year and raised nearly £1600 for about a days work.

I'm thrilled that we're going to have a new website for the Supporters' Club, and I really look forward to seeing it and to participating in it.

It only seems like a couple of years (that's because it actually is a couple of years) since our first one, and I'm pleased with the progress which we've made.

The Accrington Stanley Supporters' Club website was always intended to bring like-minded Supporters together.

I sincerely believe that the new one will do exactly that, and I wish every happiness to all Members who participate in it.
