As if!

Can't understand the point of this poll.

If people want to sit down they can.

One of the main attractions of going to watch Stanley is that you are still able to stand.

i think they should. think about all the disabled, OAP and young kids that come to accy as away fans that would like to sit down, saves them coming in our main stand,

Christ, they haven't even put a roof over it yet!!

And no, seats are feckin' rubbish for atmosphere. Want seats? Go sit in the main stand.

Re: clayton end allseater??????????

I wasnt going to bother with this thread,as it seemed like another one of c'monstanley's pointless threads, however it does seem to have attracted some interest.

Lets be honest, all seated stadia is here to stay, whether we like it or not Im afraid, and the further up the ladder we progress at ASFC, then the more we will have to comply with the regulations.

Whilst this may not sit well with some of you,it is I'm afraid, a fact of life in football these days, and I honestly cant see how a poll on this website will change anything!............Can you?

sits back and awaits the ***t to hit the fan!

Re: clayton end allseater??????????

yes i can because the times are changing evey now again things turn full cycle and it is time for football new attitudes different ideas ie old ones,
there is a campaign in british football for getting terracing back and with a new goverment in .the time to tell them is now .you might say they wont take any notice of a messageboard poll, but they do we all know representives of the club read it ,representives of our council read it ,our local mp reads it how else are they going to find out what the people want..the local papers dont do much because they are not very local accy observer=rochdale lancashire telegraph=blackburn :rolleyes::)

Sorry but got laugh at this..................since when has any politician, either local or otherwise given a damn about what people want?, if theres nowt in it for them then you can bet it wont happen!! Also, since when have we had a change in Government, I dont recall a general election in the past few months!

IMHO you have got as much chance of recinding the all seater rule as I have of platting fog.................you will just have to accept it Im afraid!

Oh, and for the record I will be just as sad to see the terracing go, but being a realist I know we wont have a say in the matter.:D

The campaign has been going on for a few years now so I would agree.

Any chance of these seats being fitted in 2 weeks time :D

Err, I happen to be a Scot as well, and cant quite seem to grasp what that has to do with this topic (unless you are telling me you have a direct line to Mr Browns office!!)

Good luck with your legal protest, but lets face it , this isnt exactly the Poll Tax issue all over again is it!!!

Somehow I dont think it will make one iota of difference.............

Taken from the source you quoted above:

Q. So, what is IMUSA' s current standpoint, pardon the pun, on terraces?
Well, we have two objectives. In the short term, we would like to see the introduction of a singing section, but with the possibility of terraces in a few years. The fact is that, even if the Government could be swayed on terracing, it is unlikely to happen within five years.

So given that we will have to comply with the current regs by the 2008/9 season and have seating inplace, do you honestly think that ANY Chairman of a football club is going to spend a shed load of cash putting in seating only to be told by fans, should the law change, to remove them again because they want to stand?....................I dont think so!

What protests?.....................Oh I forgot they have not been reported on by the national press because Rupert Murdoch has put a blanket ban on them so as not to upset anyone..............what complete and utter *ollocks!!!!

You must think Ive just sailed down the Clyde in a bannana boat, both of the arguments you have put up in defence of your original statement have more holes in them than a collander!

Youre gonna have to do better than that!!!

I thought it was more a case of "Sit down. Shut up." Hence the song the Ultras sing to the tune of the Pompey Chimes whenever stewards appear.

It was at Mansfield any way.

seats would damage the atmosphere

one of the joys of supporting stanley and coming from liverpool is the standing behind the goal. everton, liverpool and tranmere dont have it.
its something special - and should be kept.

I think you'll find that Anfield aswell as Old Trafford, and many other Premiership grounds, allow standing all around, (as long as you're with a couple of thousand others).:D

your little snipes about not being able to have an opinion are way off.. because you missed the whole point of what we said.. its a pointless poll because there was never any plans to put seats in. the club have never said they where putting seats in.. the club have never had any intentions of putting the seats in.... All you had to do was ask the club and they would tell you that . but you wont listen will you...

so if there was never any intention of putting seats in.. what exactly was the point of telling the club you dont want seats?

stick to playing wiht bannanas.. your good at that :)
