Central Defenders Available on a Free?
 

Looking through the PFA Transfer Directory the following Central Defenders were available on a free transfer I don't know how up to date it is but the following caught the eye:
Colin Murdoch age 32 Rotheram Utd Career apps=324
Ian Roper age 30 Wallsall career apps=300
Mtthew Bloomer age 29 Grimsby Town career apps=100
Reuben Hazell age 28 Chesterfield career apps=250
Rob Elliot age age 33 Leeds Utd career apps=350
One or more if still available could prove to be a good aquasition for Stanley?:):)

No, signed for wrexham on a 3-year-deal a fortnight ago.

looked on the PFA transfer website myself last night and found the following two forwards who are on the list as available free:
Alan Connell-Hereford Utd 6ft
Pual Tait-Boston Utd-6ft 3"
As I still think we're a bit thin on the forward front I thought one of these lads (more so Paul Tait ) might be a reasonable addition (wages permitting)

It was on teletext yesterday that Alan Connell has left Hereford, can't remember who he's signed for now, could be Walsall. Just thought it was funny that our Welsh friends have lost yet another player :)

I can't imagine that Ian Roper will be leaving Walsall despite his injury problems.

He has been with them for many years and is very popular with the Saddlers' fans.

Connell has signed for Brentford. If it's the same paul tait that played for Rochdale, no thanks, he couldn't hit a barn door..

Funny nobody has mentioned Robbie Fowler yet - cannot find a club for love nor money.

I'm sure most clubs would love to have him but the money bit may be the problem :)

What, with him being one of the richest men in football with all his properties? Surely money can't be his motivation?

But anyway, saw Duncan Ferguson the other night, not a million miles away from Accrington, less than 10 actually.

Got me thinking......................................... just how good Paul Mullin is. :rolleyz8:
