Friendly Rumor
 

OK I know that rumors are abound at this time pre season, however I have heard ( from a fairly reliable source) that there is a strong chance and I repeat chance that we will be welcoming Manchester City to the FES pre season.

I for one have my fingers crossed that it comes off (assuming the source is correct!!), anyone else?

That would be a good game and a good chance to get a good crowd I could imagine City bringing a good following might have to be segregated though?:):)

I know someone at Man City and it looks like it is going to be the reserves who will be coming to FES but should still have some V good players turning out.... but not sure what date..

The Man City Reserves who play us in the Pontins Holiday League are actually the third team, aren't they? Presumably, if the Reserves do play us, it'll be the actual Reserve team who play in the Premier Reserve League. At the moment, they only have one friendly against Stalybridge on July 14th, so it's not beyond the realms of possibility.

Really hope it's true.
City are one of the teams I like to look out for & even if it is the reserves it should be a good game.

Now announced on fishy site... late as per...I won't be there. Am photographing a tournament in manchester (The Umbro International Soccer Cup 2007 – Euro Worldwide Events Ltd – Manchester England) based on the knowledge that we had no game that day .. oh hum

will the roof be up in time? The finsih date was expected to be in time for the first home match but had been hampered by bad weather. Will the roof be halfway up or finished? If halfway up will that mean restricted access behind that goal?

According to the fishy site the City game is 4th August. According to the fixtures we have had a friendly arranged away at Rossendale for ages. What sort of a team will Stanley be putting out if we have two games on that day.

This is exciting news. I wonder if Nancy will be accompaning Sven up to Accy?
I bet she's looking forward to it..probably arriving early, so she can shop till she drops in all our faboulous pound and charity shops. And then she can have a proper pie at half time - none of this fancy pasta rubbish.

It's not on City website so look's like it will be second string but still a game so will be there if for nought else than check out the accoustics of the roof:)
