we are moving to a new ground with 6,000 all seater facility which can be increased to 10,000 when we reach league div 1. It will have training pitches, 5 a side pitches, a hotel , fast food outlets plenty of parking and should be ready for the start of the 2009/10 season.

. . . and The Midland Hotel will be re-located into your car park, following which Thora Hird, Eric Bartholomew, Ted Lune and Colin Crompton will spin in their respective graves.

Macca, agree with you doesn't make sense, unless you want a posh house near a good chippy.

Are they building it anywhere near Morecambe?

Oops! Yea I did mean to say elephant - even thought that's what I'd typed till I re-read my post this morning - these senior moments are happening way too often:o!

Erm No. . . . . . We've never claimed to be relocating, the club has been looking into the possibility of relocation in the future (5-10 years from now!!!) to accommodate our future league status and the need for better facilities, car parking etc., but no claims have been made or press conferences been organised to make announcements to the actuality of these events.

Good luck with your developments though, I'm sure it would be nice to have something new in Morecambe!!!:p:D

"Architects" could knock up a virtual tour of our new ground, which would mean as much as yours does at this moment in time. Accy people of a certain age well remember the ZERI ski complex which was supposed to revitalise the area - that looked wonderful on paper!:D

I was a bit shocked when I heard this on the radio, seems like Morecambe are getting a tad carried away with promotion. But good luck to them, I quite like 'em, and always look forward to the derbies
