OSC meeting mon 10th
in the Sportsbar as usual from 7pm
Items for discussion will be ............. minimal!!!! There will be two biggies on the agenda that will take precedence over other matters. Rob Heys has been invited to the meeting for two reasons, the first is to discuss relations between club and OSC and how we can move forward. Together. We want to know why we seem to get minimal support from the club and seem only to hear of derogatory remarks made. We also want to clear up the problems that were documented after the last meeting. The second reason he will be there will be to hear of the other major item on the agenda, which will be the revealing of our next project. The presence of Rob will allow us to clear up any problems once and for all. IT WILL NOT BE A FANS FORUM WHERE ANY QUESTION IS VALID. It will be for OSC related discussion only. The 'project' which has a working title of 'the club that wouldn't die' is something that all members should want to be part of. I urge anybody with an interest to turn up, and I would urge anybody that feels the club now needs our help more than ever to turn up. The project will not get off the ground unless we have sufficient numbers pledging their support and efforts. And the bar will be open. |

Re: OSC meeting mon 10th
I want to be there for this one; I’d like to see this one work out and would encourage those who want to have a hand in the future to join in. It’ll be no good twittering after the fact, get in, have a say in our Club.

Re: OSC meeting mon 10th
Can people just come along for a nose or do you want new volunteers?
|
Re: OSC meeting mon 10th
either/or Bagpuss.
Nosey gits are still welcome but I would especially like people to come along and get involved. I appreciate that people don't always want to put their hands up for things and that sometimes you feel out of place on a first or so meeting. But the more nosey gits we get the more chance we have of recruiting active members. |

The Supporters Club las night unveiled plans to hold an exhibition within the town. The exhibition will be a fans perspective of the history and heritage of Accrington Stanley. As a club we will go out and interview fans of all shapes and sizes, age and race and include what they have to say about their first match, the day we closed etc. There will be educational features built into the exhibition so that we can invite schools along to study the club, we will provide transport for the Old Folks homes to send people up. In a nutshell it is a massive project that is going to get us in the media a lot and is going to involve many different people and parts of the community. It's going to take a fair bit of money to do this so it is a good job we have £48k worth of Heritage Lottery money in the bank :D Not quite so tinpot now eh Poppy? Idiot. |

Re: OSC meeting mon 10th
It was a great meeting and to share this windfall with the club
But we must say a big thanks to Gayle Knight and OSC treasurer Bill Nuttall for applying and working tirelessly towards getting this lottery funding.. so big thumbs up to them especially and anyone else who helped along the way. BUT it is only the beginning ............. |

This is good work and can be the dawning of a new chapter for the OSC & ASFC. I hope that many of the suggestions that where put forward by supporters last years will get a dusting off and find there way into the proposed format for the future exhibition. By the way Apologies for Monday, again the bogie man got to my wallet before me. Which one is poppy? |

Which one is poppy?[/quote]
By the sound of it Doug Poppy is the one with a Sad on sitting in the corner with his mates...or lack of them, Wishing he'd had this idea 1st!! :D:D Good work Macca and the gang keep up the good work...!! Just an idea how about getting some info at Ossy Mills as well?? If you are working more closely with the club why not have a bit near the Stanley merchandise which may generate more interest and may increase sales which will get money back into the club...?? Just an idea. Tractorboy Red :) |
