Tonight reconfirmed why I love Stanley
 

Went the Everton game tonight.

The crap atmosphere, the lack of passion, players not playing to their potential, moyes not attacking but playing it safe against a team who I firmly believe stanley could have beaten 3 or 4 nil.

Reconfirmed why im now Stanley through and through.

Cant wait for Saturday. Really hope we can do mansfield.

I saw the Everton game on tv and thought as a neutral that it was a good game, end to end stuff, i would agree however that even though Everton started off at a great pace and attacking, they never really looked like scoring, they seemed to lack something upfront, and their defence looked even more unstable than ours, you could tell the longer the game went on that FC Metalist were going to nick a goal, you could just see it coming, i thought that Johnson was also very unlucky to have his penalty disallowed.
But you are probably right though about atmoshere, as on tv there didnt seem to be any, dispite the size of the crowd, maybe a few more may follow your lead and migrate to the FES, where passion and atmosphere are plentiful.

some of you may have noticed, stanley played alot of first team players against tranmere reserves.

Apparently, we tried out a brand new system and it was very effective. Lots if interchange play.
Second half, stanley went back to playing direct balls and trying to use the wings and played poor.

could be interesting on saturday.

News from Mansfield is - they are low on confidence, their fans get on the players backs very quickly at the moment and defensivly they are week in terms of team selection.

anybody know what this new formation is. i would like to see us attackin a bit more especially at home. 433 maybe?????
