I apologize if this has been posted already but the penalty is at www.sportal.com dosnt look to bad but isnt the best of clips.

You cant really see what happens just before you see what happens (if that makes any sense) but he definitely took the ball. I wouldn't say it was clearcut by a very long stretch of the imagination, and to give Halford a red is just plain lunacy. The inconsistency of refs is painfully obvious when you see another clip from the same match where one of our midfielders (Brannan? cant tell) seems to go in almost two footed right in front of the ref and no action is taken. Not that I would have wanted to see a Stanley player receive a card, but rules are rules and the officials almost lotteryesque interpretations do seem to occur in situation where matches are won and lost. There seems to have been little to no common sense applied by Mr.Singh in the case of the penalty. What goes around comes around though.....eventually......
