Quite right, bananaman. Have this H******n Homes lot got some connection with the council? If so, they should be having a word with them. It's totally out of order for any company in Accrington & District to be sponsoring club from other towns.

Hyndburn Homes is a part of Contour Housing Group which also owns Twin Valley Homes in Blackburn & Darwen (and 25 other local authority areas)
Contour Housing - Home
Contour Housing - Home - Regeneration and Social Housing Specialist

Re: hyndburn homes

Thanks for that, Margaret. According to their website, they're based in Accrington itself, so they've even less excuse for sponsoring teams from other towns!

Re: hyndburn homes

It's not as if a straight forward donation was made. One of their employees who is a Burnley fan decided to enter a team from work for a half time competition. They were sponsored for the event, of whom HH through Contour Group were one of the sponsors.

Besides it seems to be the butt of a few jokes that a certain Accrington company are the main shirt sponsors :)

...sorry, Kate, Accrington & Districts to give it its proper title. :)

Just had a thought...I hope Eric's not stocked that pie cabinet on the bar in the Crown with a certain company's pies, or else I broke my boycott twice on Friday night!

Can I please make a point that Contour Homes

DO NOT

Own Twin Valley Homes and never have done.

Twin valley was created as a company to purchase the Blackburn with Darwen housing stock when they decided they wanted the council housing stock to be transferred into private ownership back in 2001

Since then we now have Pendle Housing under the umberella of prospect homes

Twin Valley homes did apply for Hyndburn housing but came second to contour housing... unfortunately I did approach our chief exec about some advertising at stanley as he is a massive footy fan and a former league referee but he felt he couldn't oblige as it was outside the blackburn and darwen area but it would have been a different matter if we had won the bid for Hyndburn Homes :(

You should be boycotting them because of the disgraceful treatment of British workers (make 50 redundant and replace them with cheap Eastern European labour who reside in Halifax of all places) as well as sponsoring Burnley FC.

Perhaps Hyndurn Homes are getting ready for the fact that they might soon be 'Accrington and Districts Homes', and mistakenly thought Burnley was one of it's districts.;)

The funny thing is that some people seem to have forgotten that a Burnley & District company are the main sponsors of Stanley :D

Yes, but Fraser Eagle started life as Fraser Motors in Accrington in 1919. As far as I'm aware, H******n Homes has no historical assocation with Burnley.

No need to let facts get in the way of a good argument :)

Quite right, Baggy, old chap. These companies who employ a large proportion of foreign workers are disgraceful.

I trust, therefore, that you will be withdrawing your support from Liverpool, two-thirds of whose first team come from outside the UK. British players could be doing those jobs! ;)

Actually, Wynonie, Liverpool's soccer players are all foreigners to the American owners. ;)

Nice attempt at a wind up Mr H, somehow I can't see Liverpools foreign players applying for tax credits for children back in their home country also I can't see them bleeding the local services dry, must have private health care ect. And finally I'm sure they haven't taken a job that an English player could do for less money.:)

Oggy shut up you're still bitter at the best team winning.:p
