Any news peeps?

Not even on the Lancs FA site.

On a lighter note Rotherham losing 2-0 at home to Forest Green in the proper cup.

If it gets that far I suspect you will need a map for Warrington

Stanley Team:

Martin Fearon, Peter Murphy, Phil Edwards, Graham Branch, Leam Richardson, Billy Dennehy, Paul Carden, David Brown, Rommy Boco, John Miles, Shaun Whalley.

Shaun Whalley with both goals, first one a rebound off the goalkeeper and Whalley followed through the ball just trickled over the line, the sencond a cross ball from Rommy that Shaun volleyed into the net. Overall a good performance and some good passing moves. The youngsters played well also.

here's the team Sheet

Quite a good game, with some excellent passing and shooting. Fearo made a few very good saves.

Cheers for that Jeff - maybe we should've played that line up on Saturday :)

Re: vs B'Pool

some encouragement from the game. fearon had a superb game, boco looked lively and our number four was good esp in 1st half. but despite two goals i am still not convinced that whalley is as good as last season. maybe its confidence - i dont know - but he had no awareness of whether he was onside or not (luckily nor did the ref) and went to ground too easily. poor first touches too (apart from 2nd goal)
as already said some great passing moves and good possession and a win!
anyone know for sure if its north end or pool next?

Re: vs B'Pool

thanks for the team sheet and vids Redash.

as far as the next game is concerned I'd rather trust the Lancs FA site than the Tangerine thingy (which is the source of the Liverpool rumour). Perhaps they actually meant they were playing the scousers tonight?

Now I've seen who sponsors the Cup,its clear to me that it'll be an Accrington /Blackburn final.

I thought it was an entertaining game last night. Whalley's second goal was well taken, but did anyone else notice that it was a carbon copy of the goals we concede virtually every match? Unmarked striker at the back post? :D

Re: vs B'Pool

We definately play Liverpool in the next round - it's on the fishy site now.

Looks like it's Preston not Liverpool

Re: vs B'Pool

Makes sense it be Preston as its lancashire as far as i know Liverpool is merseyside.......correct so far hehehehehe:D I would go off the Lancashire FA thank B'pool site, think the tangerine went to their heads a bit :rofl38:

lancsdave 21-11-2007 09:51

Re: vs B'Pool

Maybe Preston dropped out, but Wigan Ath & Bury haven't played their match yet either so Liverpool can't have beaten any of those :confused::confused:

Unless they have redone all the draw and not published the details

Like Dave says if it is Liverpool they play reserve games at The Halliwell Jones Stadium the home of Super League Club Warrington Wolves, so sorry oggy but no trip to Anfield this season and I know how much you will be gutted.

It's quite straightforward isn't it. A team from Merseyside will be playing a Lancashire cup tie at home in Cheshire :D
