Evil Gone

Gone to Rochdale. I also believe that Lew Caroll has gone to Burnley.

Just in time for us to play them in a fortnight.

Have we really unloaded McEvilly ....... or are you just trying to cheer us up? :)

Well on our board today we have had 2 new managers appointed which turned out to be rubish. Is this the third :D:D:D

May I ask where you've found this out from Jeff, coz I'm finding it hard to beleive!!!

I'll hold my hand up Jeff, I've just had it confirmed that Evil has gone to Rochdale, but on a down note Lew has also gone.

Can't say I'm sorry to see the back of Evil. Very bad news about Lew's departure, though. In my view, he brought some much needed fresh ideas to the commercial side of the club.

Agree about evil but wonder if Lew's departure is partly due to a better offer and partly due to frustration

The commercial dept at Burnley is well established and does very well. With all due respect I suspect he will have gone from being a big fish in the commercial dept at Stanley to a smaller fish in the one at Burnley.

I think frustration will probably be the answer.

This will free up wages (or it should do). I hope this will allow the arrival of a quality defender before the Thursday deadline.

(But I'm not holding my breath)

No, it's on fishy site now - he's on loan with Dale till the end of the season & as part of the conditions of his loan he is not allowed to play against us in either of the home or away fixture with them (not that he'd have made much difference if he had). Glad to see the back of the useless lump - don't really understand why Dale would want him back but ours is not to reason why:)

Let him play it would only be a matter of time before he was sent off, like shaker says "there is a god".:)

Probably unorthadox to post at this stage but I thought I would say a big thankyou to Mr Whalley, Mr Heys and all the staff at Stanley for everything they have done for me in the past six months. I can honestly say your club is in the very best of hands.

Sorry to have to go because I genuinely enjoyed every minute. It is not through frustration or problems but merely a chance to work as a smaller cog in a big wheel. (plus the office has a window.)

Cheers to Pendle Red or Neil as I know him and Lowey for those kind words today. Also to Jase and the ultras and Mr Russell. Has been great to make some good friends. Cheers for the support on this thread guys. See you on the terraces some time soon.

I'd stop the sentence there. I really hope we appoint another person to the role of 'commercial manager' and not stagger on in the ways we have in the past.

So what he's still a fat bag of sh*te, good riddance for now at least.

I wonder if he will give the Stanley fans the V sign in a few weeks?

There is a 'gentleman's agreement' that he wont play against us.

If that wasn't in place, sod's law and all...

If he did play in spite of the "gentlemen's agreement", it's certain he would score, at the Clayton End and probably in the last minute to win the game. And if he's human amd has been reading this site since September, the V would be irresistible

That's understandable .... after all he's both as wide and as thick as any barn door!

Can you see the 16 different shades from White to Black?
If you can't your not seeing true colours on your monitor and it needs calibrating - take a look here
There's a free calibration tool available HERE but I haven't used it - let me know how it goes if you try it.

SORRY - I CAN ONLY SEE RED AND WHITE ON THIS FORUM!!!:):):)

Re: Evil Gone

we all know,
coley wants evil back.

even if he scores every game for rochdale - it would take some serious cash for coley to let go of one of his favourites.

either way we cant lose. we get a player in form and whom is fit or we get some much needed finances.

if he does nothing at all and stays unfit, what do we do with him?

shakermaker 26-11-2007 23:34

Re: Evil Gone

Davo, I think it's clear to anyone using their loaf that Lee McEvilly does not want to play for Accrington Stanley.
Hypothetically, even if he scores several hat tricks for Rochdale, after which Coley would bring him back, his first game back for us he would score three own goals, kick the ref in the tooth and spit on a cripple in the crowd.
He is useless for our club.

I've actually spent a lot of time trying to put the Evil episode into words, and failed, but the above is pretty good.

Feel really sorry for Coley.

Thought I'd just share this overiding memory of Lee with you all though,
he was the big Jessy that was afraid of catching a cricket ball at Rishton.

"I coulda been a contender", yeah right, Lee. :p
