Well, as said before Miles and Branch not fit to wear the shirt.

We took the lead and then sat back, nothing new, more points thrown away.

Graham Branch cost us the game, almost every time he got the ball, he faffed about, then passed it to the opposition, including for the winner.

Message to Eric: Please send Branch on a 6 month world cruise, as it would be cheaper.

I can't believe I'm sitting here again calling for Branch to be dropped. Coley saw the light for one game then re-instated him for the next few, in which he again, continually gives the ball away in dangerous areas! I'm afraid he is a complete liability and a danger to his team mates, who must be really p****d off having lost a game could have won with different personnel playing down the left. What a waste of the 3 points which our battling should have secured, in spite of the useless two, with a bit of composure in front of goal.

Good 1st half, & can say Branchy did have good participation in defense, Mullys goal a corker & thought we could do it, well the curse of the 2nd half - coley must of told em to sit on the goal abit cos it just went back to the old usual home game performance. Bavs did some wonderful saves absolute belters of saves he made but again defensively he was let down again. Dont know why we are playing like this altho can say there has been improvement in their game but a hell of a lot more is needed.

Tho i just think its my jinx, went today but didnt last week for the 1st time & they did it last week - back to normal this week, i did get quite a lot of heckling that i was banned & what was i doing here....& oh u jinxed it again :rofl38:

Re: Home v Shrews

When will Coleman actually realise where the problems lie??

Miles has to be one of the laziest footballers I have ever clapped eyes on. He's done nothing from day one and shows no sign of improvement. With players on the bench today who have a far higher workrate we effectively may well have just started the game with 10 men.

Branch is way over the hill, way past his sell by date and his wages must be costing the club a small fortune. I think it's time for Coleman to hold his hand up,admit he's made a big mistake in signing Branch and somehow get shut. Not knowing what sort of contract he signed (i.e. how long) could the club release him and put Branch and the majority of us out of our misery. This in turn would free up some wages which could be better spent finding a suitable replacement.

And finally I will return to Mr. Williams. What is the point of Coleman practically slating Williams in the press, admitting that he's way off what he's (Coleman's) expecting, then playing the guy regardless??? He even made him skipper for the game Mullin missed !! How many more mistakes will Williams make which result in goals conceded before Coleman has the bottle to drop the guy?? What's the point in having players like Edwards and Webb on the sidelines if Coleman is not prepared to use them ?? Webb could end going the same way as Mauro Almeida, leaving the club without having had a reasonable chance to show what he could (or could not) be capable of.

Simply put, we are carrying too many passengers. Too many individuals are underperforming. IF I was to underperform in my job,my employer would get rid of me and replace me with somebody who could meet what is required. I realise that Coleman only has a small budget to work with but surely he has to finally get to grips with the problems and actually try and resolve them.Moaning to the press will not solve anything.

Actions speak louder than words Mr. Coleman. That's two games out of the six(which Whalley has given Coleman) gone and other than brief glimpses of improvement (i.e Second half V Chesterfield and first half today) It seems there is no sign of our defensive problem being addressed. For your own sake Coleman sort it before it's too late.

Can I just ask, why wasn't McGivern on from the start? Why was David Brown not even in the 16? Why do supporters have to put up with the most comical back four ever (Roberts and Liam apart)? Why can't Phil Edwards be given a start - not bring him on with 10 minutes to go when we need an attacker?
When will John Coleman do the decent thing and quit?

accept for my terrible pens, i dont think it was that bad a game.
They where clearly a better team than us, and expect for a few last minute blocks from their defence, we could have gone away with a point.

Dont get me wrong - the same suspects continue to not impress.

John Miles take a bow
Grahm Branch is not far behind
and Rocky - will he ever be dropped?

Most of the lads gave 100% (or near enough). We did have a go.

The left hand side was impotent today - once again, the team had no balance.
Please, give Boco a chance.
Why moan about the African nations if you dont play the lad?

P.S. anyone else think our problems have started since the midfield has started to accomodate Craney?

Fancy us to get 3 points on Boxing day.

How far is Grimsby?
Whats the fastest route?
