Anyone seen this weeks Accy Observer?
On the back page Cav Injury Blow and then the details but tagged on the end is this
John Coleman would not talk to the Observer after we set up a web poll asking if readers thought he was the right man to take the club forward. He's the manager of the local team. I know Alex Ferguson and couple of other managers wont talk to the bbc but why not talk to the local paper when the people you want to go to the matches and the fans read that paper? |
Re: Anyone seen this weeks Accy Observer?
Excellent idea...we're crying out for more local support, we want to raise our profile in the district...so we'll stop talking to the local paper, because they had the temerity to run a poll on whether the manager should go or not.

Re: Anyone seen this weeks Accy Observer?
maybe it's a no win situation?

Re: Anyone seen this weeks Accy Observer?
Arrogance at its peak me thinks.................and whilst a little arrogance is not a bad thing per say, to ailienate the local press will only serve to do more harm than good. For gods sake Mr Coleman start to act like a Manager of a Football club and not a petulant teenager (no offfence to the younger members of this forum intended), in other words GROW UP:mad:

Re: Anyone seen this weeks Accy Observer?
To be fair, Coleman has had a decent relationship with The Observer over the years, but it's hardly had an impact on attendances. His not talking to the Knobserver isn't going to have much impact imo.
