Re: thank you

Can't really say it was a pleasure Rob;there were lager cans in those bushes that went extinct years ago...Slalom D anyone??!!
Will make some suggestions at the next supporters meeting but 2 will be more litter bins on the terraces and some signs on the Crown steps area telling people what to do with their dog muck!!! ;)

Who can remember the Tennants Extra with the girlies for decoration? Those were collectors items....you never threw them behind bushes.

Golden - half bitter half lager?
Snake bite - half lager half cider?

Think thats correct, long while since I ordered one

Re: thank you

Good point Lindsay there needs to be some bins on the terraces maybe right at the front, cups ,pie trays, wrappers etc are just dumped on the ground must admit I do it myself but if I could see a bin I would make the effort.

Good to see you again by the way ;)

Re: thank you

Well done Lindsay. I totally agree with Shurm that a few more visible bins would make a significant difference to the litter on the terraces.

Re: thank you

shurm if there right at the front ppl at the back will throw it over the wall. if its at the back it will take up to much room and just be surrounded and hard to get to. :)

SuperAccyStan 01-04-2004 14:31

Re: thank you

How about at the front AND the back?

AccyStanFan 01-04-2004 14:37

Re: thank you

well as i sed the back would take up valuble space and be surrounded so u coulnt get to it.

SuperAccyStan 01-04-2004 14:39

Re: thank you

Well if we had rooves we wouldn't have this problem would we cos no-one could chuck rubbish over the wall.

AccyStanFan 01-04-2004 14:41

Re: thank you

yes but face it, we dont have a roof so we need to work with what we av got.

SuperAccyStan 01-04-2004 14:48

Re: thank you

Aren't we supposed to be raising money to make one though? In one end at least.

AccyStanFan 01-04-2004 14:51

Re: thank you

aint been talk of that for a while forgot the situation.

we got plannin permission??

SuperAccyStan 01-04-2004 14:55

Re: thank you

I hope so cos the half-time draw money and suchlike is all going into building new a new roof. I doubt they would do that unless they know it's happening.

lindsay ormerod 01-04-2004 15:39

Re: thank you

A lot of the problem is caused by cans and bottles being discarded before the match into the bushes next to the Crown steps;there are no bins there,Also rubbish blows off the Clayton end terrace, under the gate and into the carpark;which is handily also used by dog walkers and fly tippers.A few signs and more obviouis bins are the way forward. ;)

Re: thank you

About these bins...maybe the council would sponsor 'em,or could local businesses advertise on 'em?How do other grounds do it?Any ideas?

AccyStanFan 02-04-2004 11:22

Re: thank you

sponsering a bin? well, suppose lol

SuperAccyStan 02-04-2004 13:47

Re: thank you

I think at the end of it, a lot of people will throw their rubbish on the ground regardless of a bin being there or not. That's my opinion, anyway.

lindsay ormerod 02-04-2004 14:35

Re: thank you

Only throwing some ideas into the ring;we need to start taking a bit of pride in the Club, and that's difficult when the first thing visiting fans see is a car park full of rubbish! :o

Re: thank you

Sponsored bins sounds a fantastic idea, seen it done in a few places.
