And the messaih Coley will then cast the demonic Evil towards the pit of Cambridge before a choir of angels shall sing his name from the rooftops after he hath guided them to a win on Saturday. - The book of Stanley Chapter 9 v 2.

Hey boys...he's on LOAN..which of course means he could return:eek:

Re: Evil's gone!!

Let's not get carried away. He hasn't actually gone yet - he could still decline the personal terms.
& as Kiwi John says even if he does go on loan he could return.

Hello I'm a cambridge fan,
what is the problem with this McEvilly fellow
he seems to have a fairly good goal record
but your fans are glad to see the back of him, why?

He's so quick and eager to score, turning half chances into scoring opportunities, that the other forwards sometimes can't keep up with him and miss out on their chances to score. At this club, we are very keen that all members have the team have their chances to share in the goals tally so, reluctantly, we feel we must say goodbye.

..... and he celebrates alone when he does score

Can do a job in the conference, short term do you think?
We've been a little short of goals recently.

Carden's been doing ok probaby mom against wolves in cup.
But sent off last night,3 match ban.Don't you like him either?

I take it that's Cambridge United FC and not Cambridge University.

Yeah he`ll do a job for you as long as he manages to stay on the pitch, he`s a very physical player and i think he`ll do alright for you, he`ll get you some goals no doubt, well lets hope so then you might want to keep him.

not too sure about the boco thing cos correct me if am wrong but am sure lee had left for wrexham the year boco came. so i cant see how he could have a problem with some1 who wasnt even at the club.

I wish Evil would leave for good because his return was doomed even before he got here due to moaning jesses. We needed a big bustly striker (still do) and coleman thought he fit the bill. He hasnt had a decent run or anything. Midfielders in attack ,attackers in midfield, defenders in midfield,. What day is it again?

I have to agree :o

At his best he's a brilliant player, not just in front of goal, but all over the pitch IMO

Re: Evil's gone!!

I'd have to echo sentiments on this thread, Hope Evil can sort his head out at Cambridge and find himself somewhere where he is settled and "fits in"

The man scored some pretty important goals on our rise from obscurity, but from one who backed him until recently, I think it's with the best interests of all concerned that McEvilly pursues his Career elsewhere. The recent Boco revelations stir memories of recent troubles within the club.IF McEvilly has truly been the root of these problems, then it's best that the club and McEvilly part.

I was Willing to give the lad a chance, but in hindsight of recent events (i.e. Lee's disciplinary record, his unsettling effect on other players, etc, etc) It's probably the best deal for all concerned.

I only hope this news is relayed to Rommy in Africa, ALA Coleman ringing the lad personally, to give him the news and press upon Rommy the IMPORTANT role that Rommy has within A.S.F.C.

Best Wishes Lee, Thanks for the good memories, I for one hope you can settle with a side before your career passes you by.

How do you know nothing happened while he was at Wrexham?

Re: Evil's gone!!

i dont. i would be surprised if you could have serious problems with someone you dont know by playing against them. i just hope all of this is just rommy being misquoted and not rommy angling for a move.

Re: Evil's gone!!

I for one am keeping my fingers crossed that this time he doesn't come back - big mistake getting him back in the first place. Hope our lads can now get the team spirit back that went walk-about after he came back from Wrexham - it's no co-incidence that that has happened in both his spells with the club

I thought the loan was to the end of the season.

I thought he had a one year contract with Stanley having an option for a further year.

If they are loaning him out and talked about a permanent move to Rochdale I assume that his contract will be allowed to expire without Stanley exercising the option and that he won't be brought back for next season.
