Charnley Leaves Board

See fishy site.

Sad news IMHO, thank you Grahame for all your hard work on behalf of ASFC and good luck for the future.

Really sorry to hear this. Graham was one of the first fans I got to know when I started watching Stanley. He gave Mark Patterson some jip in his short stay at Stanley, and I was under the belief he was Russell Payne's personal trainer for some time, "Come on Russell".

Anyway Graham, all the best, and come back over to Whinney Hill, let's help Andy Todd get back up to speed, like you, we know he has the passion.

I'm not disagreein'

But you always put me in mind of this early Dylan verse -

A lot of people don't have much food on their table,
But they got a lot of forks n' knives,
And they gotta cut somethin'.

Did you have a big paper round?

I get the feeling that if Eric gave you a big hug, all would be right with the world. :)

Getting back to the point on this post, Thanks Graham for all you've done, been good to know you & sure you will still be around with the Stanley, will miss your welcome by the changing rooms.

I've never met the man, but it can only be a loss by what's being said. Good luck and thank you.

I wish it was Eric leaving and not Graham.

I think Bagpuss meant to add : But good luck Graham, and thanks a lot". Oops, sorry, that's positive!

How can good luck and thanks be classed as positive?

Eric going and Graham becoming chairman now that's being positive.:)

Oldgobbin 06-02-2008 22:19

Re: Charnley Leaves Board

I would say that to wish someone "good luck" is about as, positive as you can get.

Bagpuss 06-02-2008 22:33

Re: Charnley Leaves Board

Ok lets just say there is nothing positive for Stanley with Graham leaving.

Oldgobbin 06-02-2008 22:36

Re: Charnley Leaves Board

I will agree with that Baggy. I think it's a shame, but let's hope his reasons are genuine and that we may see his involvement again in the future.
