Coach to Brentford

The Frazer Eagle coach to Brentford next Saturday, sets off from the Crown at 8:30am, and costs £22.

You can ring and book - 08700 113 114, with your debit card or credit card (there is an extra charge for the credit card probably about 30p, but no extra charge for the debit card)

You can also book at Althams Travel on Little Blackburn Road, Accy - directly Opposite Argos.

Alternatively, if you can't do either, I will be prepared to do it for you, let me know, and if you're going on Tuesday I will collect your money, book you on the coach Wednesday, and PM you your booking Reference.

Re: Coach to Barnet

I keep getting them mixed up, (I was watching the championship and couldn't understand why Barnet were playing in orange when they normally play in red and white stripes.)
I kept saying Barnet yesterday too, which caused some strange looks and many corrections.

It'll probably be cheaper, quicker and safer by coach, we get picked up at the crown and go straight to the away ground.
Besides as FE are the club sponsors, we should support them as much as possible.
It's also probably worth remembering, the Rochdale buses last season caused a few problems for some people at the club.

Re: Coach to Brentford

if someone like redash can grasp the nettle and help to make this work then I am positive that he can ensure the future of the coaches. When I started lots of people told me not to bother and said it could never work and yet it did work and we enjoyed some considerable sucsess. Fraser Eagle need help to fill the coaches and it is a thankless task but we must remember that every time we use the coach we are both directly and indirectly helping our club!!! it is a winner which ever way you look at it!

Re: Coach to Brentford

Frazer Eagle rang me to tell me the coach had been cancelled. I told them I put a message on here and give me until Wednesday before confirming.

As things stand they need a minimum of 25 people to book, for the coach to still be on.

I think there are usually regulars but I'm not sure of the numbers, perhaps about 10, hopefully 10 Ultra's and we're nearly there.

I'll do some flyers and pass them out on Tuesday, with the booking details and my mobile number. Maybe I could go and collect the fare from people's homes if they're waiting for payday, Thursday/Friday.

We'll have to see how it goes.

Assuming that it's a 52 seater coach why can't they actually act like club sponsors and make a one off offer of half price. They will probably fill the coach and make the same amount of money.

Re: Coach to Brentford

good idea, Dave, but we need 25 first, then maybe we can work something out for the future.

Thought of ringing another coach company up that might be grateful for a bit of transportation business

Re: Coach to Brentford

If they dont need a 52 seater why not take a minibus - or do Fraser Eagle not have minibuses?

I would guess the price wouldn't be a lot different, small saving on diesel but the main cost will be driver time which is the same.

Re: Coach to Brentford

I am waiting until 5pm for Frazer Eagle to decide what to do about the coach. As of 4pm nobody else had booked on, so things aren't looking good.
I am currently working on a contingency plan so all is not lost, yet.

Re: Coach to Brentford

Frazer Eagle, Have now cancelled the coach.
I've rang round other coach companies, the only ones prepared to go to London are fully booked this weekend.
The only option as I see it is a self drive mini bus. I don't mind driving as it's easier for me to travel that way.
Is there anybody who wants to come if I hire a 17 seat mini bus.

Redash posted this yesterday. Yet as I write, there is still a piece on the fishy site annoucing the fans' coach which Fraser Eagle are running to Brentford. And it's no good saying the club haven't had time to change it, because other stories have been added to the site since.

A minor point maybe, but this epitomises the lack of professionalism that Revived Red was talking about in his thread. :(

Re: Coach to Brentford

Update: it's now been taken off! Pity they didn't put a piece on informing fans that the coach had actually been cancelled but I suppose you can't have everything!
