Wigan Athletic vs Stanley Belated Result from today!
 

Sorry for the delay in the result from the ladies game today.

Stanley Ladies went down 2-1 away in Wigan earlier today in a game that was overshadowed by some very dodgy refereeing decisions. Had it not been for three match-changing decisions, Stanley should have deservedly had at least a point from the game.

The girls did fantastically well and to score and almost get a point against the favourites for promotion is a fantastic achievement. The goal was scored by midfielder Kiery Horne.

At the end of the day it just shows how far Stanley have come and hopefully when we play them again in 2 weeks time it'll be 2-1 to the Stanley Ladies. :p

Next up are Leyland Ladies away next Sunday. If we get a result against them, the promotion dream is well and truly still alive!!

a/o Sparkie, tell Pete that all is forgiven on any dodgy decisions he has ever made after the debacle of the ref today!!! 1 yellow card, 2 penalties that weren't, fouls that weren't - god I've got to stop moaning about refs haha - sorry UKCowboy :D!!

I've got to say I don't normally moan about the ref coz they tend to have a very unique view on situations and there is usually a lot to take into account, position, line of sight etc.

But oh my god!!! I've seen some diabloical reffereeing in my time but this guy was abismal. He got nearly every major decision wrong. He did well in letting the game flow most of the time but when it came to the time to suck it up and bite the bullet on the big decisions, he totally bottled it and game the home side everything they wanted. :mad::mad::mad:

Anyway rant over, as I think I'm gonna have to hide somewhere when Pete reads this!!! I'm off to plan an escape route!!!!!:D:p:D

No I can assure you the ref's performance was diabolical to everyone and not just in our managers imagination!!!! :D:p:D

Both Karen and I have men in black for partners, so these comments are not made frivalously as we would be in the bad books for some time!!!:rolleyes::p:D
