What is a doubter? We have taken just four points from Thirty what is there to doubt?
Coleman bought or loaned all of this squad and as such should have the finger of blame pointed solely at he and his accomplices, he picks them he falls out with the good ones, the good ones move on, prove to be a hit with their new clubs and we keep losing .

Re: Today Vs Stockport

The result has to be seen in the context that it was their 6th straight away win. It could have been a lot worse.

See:

Accrington Stanley 0-2 Stockport - Football News | SPORTBOX.tv - Nothing Inside But Sport

They could even afford to have Pilkington on the bench.

League 2 contains 2 divisions. We need to concentrate on beating the others in the lower division and scrapping out as many points as we can from the others.

we are the joke of league 2 , naff ground , naff team and naff management , we where disorganised and unfit .. good as down

Stanleymad 23-02-2008 20:41

Re: Today Vs Stockport

Well whatever criticism of coley or the team [which played a lot better at home than usual IMHO] but constant sniping at them isn't going to solve anything but bring morale down. Got to say tho despite the odd anti stanley jibes here, that the crowd support was fantastic - the roof pelting of noise today, the team & club couldnt of asked for better with the great atmosphere of the home support & hopefully soon a win will come.

maybe good noise but still half empty in home end

Re: Today Vs Stockport

The roof being put on the home end is the best thing Accrington have done this season.

At one point today the three sections of our crowd were singing three different songs because they don't carry.

That atmosphere being created because of the roof could keep you up. I like what you've done, don't give the away end one so they can't outsing you ;)

Welcome to our forum.

Does your forum accept "player exchanges"?

StockportJack 23-02-2008 21:28

Re: Today Vs Stockport

Errrrr dunno what you mean. :)

We've got a few players you could have... None of them played today.

Anyway yeh, last season there was no atmosphere carrying from either end because it just goes up into the wind. Your roof (y) Good idea.

Stanleymad 23-02-2008 21:43

Re: Today Vs Stockport

Thanks stockportjack, we waited a long long time for a roof, been well worth the wait, i was doing some recording during the match for our oral histories section of our Exhibition & standing at the front of the clayton end recording it the acoustics were electric bouncing off the roof, could even record it well from the main stand further down pitch nearer u guys, blumming good stuff - the loud proud vocal section did us proud we even had a Noweigian stanley singing group of fans loud & proud too hehehe:D

We may not have a great scoring team going or the largest fanbase in the league but we dont half make up for it in passion & noise:D

Re: Today Vs Stockport

Also worth a mention - their first goal came from a blatant dive - Stockport 31 was a disgrace, as was the section of the stockport fans shouting and cheering during the minutes silence.

StockportJack 24-02-2008 10:58

Re: Today Vs Stockport

Those fans were actually outside the ground and hadn't yet got into the ground so they didn't know a minutes silence was taking place.

The County fans at the back of the terrace shut them up.

It was Dickinson (20) who won the free kick, he went over a bit easily but the referee was giving every 50-50 Accrington's way before that.

Darwenred1968 24-02-2008 11:22

Re: Today Vs Stockport

True the Stockport fans did tell their fans outside ground to be quiet I think the Stockport fans were a credit!!
Must also congratulate the 20 or so ultras who kept raising the roof on the clayton end yesterday even under dire circumstances.
16 stone Adam proudlock was the difference yesterday he breezed past our younger fitter slimmer defenders!!

Re: Today Vs Stockport

I don't think our lot got to grips with how bad Sockport's kit was.

Mind you, one of their fans said they've not lost in it.

Worth a try for us? Something with "go faster" stripes, maybe? ;)

Aye, its our 125 year old gold kit. Don't know why we've gone for gold because we've never played in it before.

Playing in old gold will suit Adam Proudlock. Think he's a life long Wolves fan. Though I understood the club's reasoning I was personally very sad when he left Sheffield Wednesday.

StockportJack 24-02-2008 12:36

Re: Today Vs Stockport

Are you a Sheff Wed fan then or something?

I like him. He has hardly been given a chance upfront to be fair, he's always on the right of the front three (or in goals like last week!) but when he's been upfront he's been good. The Wycombe 6-0 game shows what he can do and I think that if we're playing 4-4-2 then Proudlock should be one of the two (with Dickinson).

Yes since September 1975. Remember Adam Proudlock's three spells at Wednesday (2 on loan) well. After the end of the second loan spell he went back to Wolves and they played him next match on their visit to Hillsborough. He scored twice in their victory. Despite winning later 7-2 at Burnley, Wednesday were relegated to League 1 with Stockport by a margin of 4 points.

Live in Yorkshire but come from Lancashire. Followed Stanley as favourite non league side since reformation and expecting Stanley to overcome this rough patch and remain as joint favourite league side.
