Keep the Faith

Some of the comments on this messgeboard at the moment are creating a real them & us attitude!

I am all for healthy debate but this is something else!

The question I would pose is "Is it really helping anybody"

The simple answer is no least of all the Club!

We are a Leauge Two Side!

Maybe we are punching above our weight and that has raised Supporters expectations?

But we are where we are so end of!

The time is now to Unite behind the team none of us want to return from where we came !

In my mind JC & JB are still the correct people to turn it around and I am sure they will!

We are all united in our love & support of the Club so lets do just that!

Two things that are happening in and around the Club & its Supporters which epitimises everything that is great about our Club, which is the Supporters Club Exhibition & the Granada TV Documentary with the working titles of:

The Club that wouldn't die!

The Greatest Little Club in The League!

Think not what your Club can do for you but what you can do for your Club!

I'd suggest that anybody who is annoyed at the postings of one or two people should follow the lead of Tin Monkey and put them on to your ignore list.

If we all do that then they can carry on spouting their crap to each other and leave the rest of the forum to the sensible posters. Best thing I have done all week was to ignore them.

Up the Reds!

TM did us all a favour when he reminded us of the ignore list. It doesn't half same me a lot of time when I come on here.

Re: Keep the Faith

"You cant get rid of their posts, however you can set up your profile to ignore all posts from any member. In the case of DM, simply click on his name which will open his profile then choose 'ignore user' from the menu bar, and as if by magic you will no longer be able to read/respond to his posts. It can be undone at a later date just as easily."

Seriously folks, I think there are probably quite a few people on here who, like myself, have become sick to the back teeth with the rantings of DM and DR. I think Pete's helpful reminder, quoted above, would, if used by all those who are of a similar mind, might quickly isolate the dreadful duo and maybe encourage them to vent their spleen elsewhere.

Keep the faith!

This only works if nobody "Quotes" there posts as they will still be seen even if on the ignore list just adding my bit:D

Re: Keep the Faith

Are we touching a nerve?
If a poll was to be set up and fans aloud to vote wether it be in the paper or on a website like this I am sure you would find that the vast majority are in favour of seeking a new manager. But like the club and the minority of people on here you try to block any talk of replacing JC and JB because you lot are living on past glories and sentiment a business like Stanley would struggle to survive a drop to the conference, we have probably higher season ticket prices than Blackburn and Burnley the smallest amount of season ticket holders in the league and if we were to be relegated what income would we get then? alot less!
I am sorry I don't like the management duo but I am as passionate about Stanley as you guys and it really upsets me to watch us lose every week.

Pendle Red 24-02-2008 11:43

Re: Keep the Faith

We have had post after post
poll after poll
Nothing has changed
People are for & people are against
The truth is it is doing nobody any good!!
It's good you are passionate but if people keep chipping away long enough what bit of confidence may be there can quicky be eroded

I would not put them on my ignore list, but if we had an 'ignorant' list they would both be top of it. I have not laughed as much in ages as I have done in the last couple of weeks.
Seriously though I DONT think JC & JB tell the players when training (certain ones anyway)
if you get the the chance to shoot on goal 'dont', or if you have the ball down the wing (especially the left) dont run at the defence, try and pass to one of the other teams defenders, and 'never' try and get a cross into the box.

Nice post, agree with most. But do think they might be telling the defence to watch their man at set pieces, instead of mark. ;)

do you all enjoy watching crap every week . you all belong at ashworth if you still think coleman can keep us up . need a defender and what do we get ? bloody roy cropper back from bury . did coleman let him go because he felt he could perform on a bigger stage ? no its because he was crap and not up to league 2 standard .

I think they've now put "us all" on their ignore list, and are having a lovely time, all by themselves.
I do like happy endings.:)

So if there is so much talk about a new manager put the cards on the table-Just who is around that A:would come to the club for the wages available. B: obtain better funds for players as available & encourage them to come to the club & integrate, given loan players are our best option at the moment & C: Has such a reputation as to ensure the club moves in the direction we all want?
The directors, management, players all know what is required, because of confidence & morale being at an all time low at current results in all departments it can only be the suport & encouragement of the fans that can help. Be frustrated, but on the day help by positive support, shouting & singing-the players do hear us & opposition fans already acknowledge as did Stockport fans yesterday that we can & do get behind the team. Anyone can criticise but that only hurts & doesn't heal! These guys on the pitch can perform, they can win games & there is no team in this league to be feared & that we should not be capable of getting a result against. We can hold our place in this league & we will! Promote postivity at the ground on Tuesday, criticise after if need be but coins have two sides & be prepared to explain how to turn your criticism into positive direction to ensure we do go forward, Thats what keeping the faith is all about!

Mr Mode you seem to have an affinity with mental health ie mentioning Gaza and Ashworth is this something close to home if it is it explains a lot. By the way I wish I looked liked like 'Roy Cropper' as you call him, looking at the calibre of girlfriend he gets, I bet your Wife\Girlfriend\boyfriend\Sheep\cow\chicken\Left or right hand --delete as apropriate, look more like Haley Cropper !!!!.

Depeche...You know, if you'd only admit it, that it really does...as we all keep trying to indicate to you in simple terms...go much deeper than this negative and critical posting.
If you'd only try harder to analyse what the various threads are trying to
discuss,,then people would grow to like...even LOVE you a little bit...and not threaten to put you on their ignore list!...how hurtful must that be...belonging to an IGNORE LIST !....

Well said Big Al...a welcome change from some of the banalities currently floating around this thread. Solidarity of thought and action is always better than divisive, critical, and useless ramblings!

only place i disagree pendle red is in the " maybe punching above their weight" they are simple as that. also john coleman is, cos how the hell can he convince class players to sign on 30/40% less wages than the rest of div2, nor theres many he can approach for similar reasons, the guy for me is not operating on a level playing field, for those reasons, the whiners should take a reality check, slagging him for me would be valid if he was, to take the club forward for me the answer is for Eric Whalley to sell to someone with deeper pockets, aint slagging him,hes took the club with JC into the league, the bottom line is simple. if you pay peanuts, you get monkeys.

I think most people that turn up every week actually love losing ... nout better than a good lose eh?

Course we all get upset when we lose every week, its not just the "Coleman Out team" that get upset

I would have thought you would love losing every week ... more to moan about on here in the school holidays :)

That's a bit below the belt Dav...even Milesy, (whose whole body language suggested that he never wanted to play for the Reds in the first place, and this reflected in his half-hearted performances !)....did not warrant such a scathing comparison as that in your posting...

And so another Merseyside Marvel bites the dust!
