No, not Stanley's, but couple of snippets shamelessly lifted from Bulls' blog that may be of interest.

Altrincham have revealed a £70,000 profit for last season at their AGM last night. The profit was mainly down to a £75,000 sell on clause received from Accrington's sale of Ian Craney but also included costs of erecting new floodlights and turnstiles. The club have ruled out turning full time, citing players moving between Conference clubs for wages of £1,700 a week. It is some time since Alty turned in any significant losses.


Bradford are to give away 9,000 season tickets - if they can sell the 9,000 adult season tickets they sold this season.
Of the 12,000 season ticket holders this season, 9,000 were adults paying £138. If the club can match that figure at a slightly increased rate of £150 they will give every season ticket holder a second book, effectively making each season ticket worth just £75.
The offer would give the Bantams gate income of £1.35million for the season, putting them in the top three of the division on income, and also increase dramatically the spending on programmes and food.


This is an indication of what we're up against, anyone got any proposals that would fit Stanley?

This is an indication of what we're up against, anyone got any proposals that would fit Stanley?

They are well switched on in the marketing and commercial departments, speculating and accumilating and fair play to them... treat people right and they will back you.

We need more staff, we are now Football League not Unibond, The OSC as better marketing idea's than the club but do they listen ?? do they heck.

2. free kids season ticket with every adult one (whether they want it or not)
3. announce in April and leave May, June and July to make three monthly direct debit payments.
4. ENSURE SEASON TICKETS ARE POSTED OUT NO LATER THAN AUGUST 1ST
5. merchandise incentives bolted on with the direct debits. Shirts at £30/scarves (new one pls) £4/exclusive badge free etc etc
6. 1 week BEFORE the announcement goe on the web/paper/radio send a letter to every ticket holder from the past 3 years and also to EVERY person registered as a Junior Red in the last two years, and also to every person who has registered for any of the soccer schools or related stuff through the FITC team. There should be some aggressive marketing done with this as the whole country will be looking with interest to see if we can beat 118.

If the club wants to talk to me about it I will look into bus advertising as well, but we need to make sure the package is simple to understand and the right price is pitched.

I understand partially why seated tickets are more expensive than standing ones but we have to recognise that we have a goodly proportion of older fans and these are the ones that struggle to pay higher prices, so I would look at making sure that concession seats are the same price as standing ones

If you are one of the missing ticket holders this season but do still go to most games then I would implore you to back any attempt by the club to push the boat out this time.

Should that read schoolchildren ? Stanley seem to think they go out and earn a wage at 12 :)

If you make the payments due on the 1st of the month you could actually split it in to 4, May, June July, August.

They should put the gate price up and make the season ticket price more attractive. Make the money off the away fans :D

Still not convinced Bratfut aren't on the road to rack and ruin again with their policies but good luck to them. I hope they prove me wrong

yes - schoolchildren of all ages.

those that are sixteen are the paying fans of tomorrow, the 10 year olds are the paying fans of the future. We've always thought about today rather than tomorrow but it comes around all too soon.

West Brom have just announced an 11% reduction in prices for season tickets if they are bought early, and juniors pay just £49 if the ticket is bought with an adult's.
