Leam's goal was a bit flukey, but a bit of luck is what we've needed for weeks. It could prove to be a turning point in the season. ;)

I thought Mark Roberts was immense tonight and Mangan was a handful, especially in the first half. Overall a very solid performance and fully deserving of the 3 points.

Just back and I still can't believe thats the same team that played last Saturday - really well done lads, it's a long time since I've been that nervous (in a good way) coming to the end of a game, didn't help when the 4th official added four minutes on! Chuffed to bits for Leam - just hope he's ok after being bashed in the face with the ball. Fingers crossed that tonight was the turning point & we can build on it - COME ON YOU REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEDS!!!!

Yes he was. He put his head in some dangerous places tonight especially in 2nd half. Kenny was safe as houses and Mangan was a real threat in first half, but I thought the whole team worked really hard and fully deserved the win. Top night.

Really great result last night and a complete surprise to me, as no way could I see Stanley winning after the game at Brentford a week last Saturday.

When I got back home from evening classes last night, I was amazed to see the result. A huge well done to the team and to John Coleman, who clearly got things right last night, which hasn't always been the case in recent weeks.

Let's hope that we can now build on this and pull away from the dreaded R zone. Wrexham did us a favour by losing, but Dagenham seem to be on the march right now (I didn't expect them to beat Hereford ! :eek: ) and Barnet still have several games in hand. It's still not safe by any means, but it is starting to look a little better this morning. :)

Agreed, but it was a good SQUAD performance - the subs did well too. Great to see our two best centre halves on together again dominating their forwards (see the Bees quotes below). Kenny was king in the box, especially with the high balls, even if his kicking is no better than Bav's at the moment.:(
One heart-warming moment for me was when Phil got clattered by a late challenge and just got up without any bother, instead of screaming and rolling about like Drogba, etc., pretending to have been shot.
The only minus was our inability to keep the ball in the later stages when we should have closed the game down more easily - we really need to work on this a bit more.
For once I watched from the main stand with my best man from 40 years ago, who is partially disabled, and on his first visit to FES he was amazed at how such a small number of people could generate such a din. Well done to the Ultras for their amazing 110% inspiring support, which I'm sure contributed to the win. Just imagine what it would be like if they all brought a couple of noisy mates along as I did. They would have to go through the audition, though!

Excellent performance from everyone last night, though I felt drained when I came away! I thought Mark Roberts was outstanding - man of the match for me by a country mile. Have to say, though, that I think it is probably because he can now concentrate on doing his OWN job. No need to worry that if it goes over his head there will be no decisive keeper making positive attempts to cut out the danger - and no need to keep a wary eye on what is happening on the left BRANCH of the defence in case he needs to get across and cover. Last night could be the making of him....... let's hope so!

I have to agree with others on this thread who have said, please, please, please keep the same team for Saturday against Rotherham. They were immense on Tuesday. You could say Mullers could have buried a couple of chances in the second half to ease the pressure, but who cares, a win and no goals against is just what the doctor ordered. I know I have been a critic of the management of late but they got it spot on. Please keep Webb and Roberts together in defence as they always play well together and with Liam and Phil they looked invincible at times. Keep it up

i don't think that Craney has done much since he came back but a few who watch a bit more than just the 'match' say that he is being marked by two or three at a time and that creates the space for others to work in.

and he just scores a cracker from 25 yards making it 2wins in 2 games

I think Craney has done well & back to scoring crackers when needed glad we've got him back :D

i'm not doubting his prowess around the area, but his all round play doesn't seem to me to be as good as it was. Still glad he's back though

I think Mangy has made a positive impact since rejoining us, back on winning ways:D
