changes in the Crown

see fishy site

at last Hazel will get a bit more of a break. I'd just like to go on record as saying thank you for all her efforts not just for the Supporters Club but the club in general.

During their current 'sojoun' (sp) downunder LETTIE and SPARKS informed me that the Crown dosen't have that pumped beer that us colonials marvel at when watching some english telly prog.. Tell me I've got that wrong. To me, that sort of thing is whatmakes an English pub english and quaint. If I am correct, how come it ain't there??

It baffles me John, it seems the younger generation don't understand their heritage.
"We don't drink Milk, we drink Lager", as the ultras sing. :o

Personally, I'm at a loss as what to drink when I go to the Crown, or the Sportsbar.
After the first eight pints of the cold homogenised stuff it's difficult to carry on and have a proper drink. :(

Good news indeed, Hazel's works really hard & does a brilliant job but it was always too much to expect anyone to run both single-handedly.
And re-surfacing the car park too? Have we won the lottery or summat :)

Don't talk to me about the cricket, the only good thing about being crocked and off work was the test match to watch, to be honest I could bowl better than Harmison using my arm that is in plaster !

Me too. I'd love to drink in the Crown knowing that the profits were going to the club but they don't sell 'reet' beer, so I go somewhere else.
