changing rooms

how can we expect to sign good players when the ground is just about conferance standard ? are we the only team in the league that has a portacabin for changing rooms ? i know coleman was a teacher but does he still think hes teaching kids . need a plan of action not a tight wallet .

You really are scraping the bottom of the barrel now, How long has it taken you to think this one up. Also you need to get your facts right, the plyers do not get changed in a portacabin, and if they did it certainly hasn't got anything to do with "coleman" as you refer to our manager!!!!!!!.

ah, just have them get changed behind a beach towel, we've all done it.

In fact you could have bystanders chuck money at them for doing it. Would improve the gate revenue no end. Would probably even turn up myself lol x

Don't want to be pedantic again Depeche BUT Football Clubs have DRESSING ROOMS !....not 'changing rooms' as you so quaintly describe them !.:p

And this, at the present interesting period in the Season, with every opportunity for you to pour praise on JC and JB, really is a crummy and
useless thread !.

So do say something which will make us think that you really care about
'the Reds'...and even Lindsay might grow to love you..(just a little!)

And? Why does it matter?
Look at the league table. (We're in league 2 in case you need help with that.) (coca cola league 2). (copy my spelling of league to help further).
Dagenham are only one of eight teams below us, therefore the state of the ground clearly has no effect whatsoever on performance.
So shut up.

The thing you need to realise is, these clubs with large nice grounds have a bit of debt. We don't have any debt.

We are not likely to go bust and tumble through the leagues, unlike other clubs.

I can now understand why people in the Whalley pubs, don't want to speak to you, especially if you go looking for something to moan about.

and would they have signed fo rus when we were in the Unibond?

We could quite easily have built better facilities all those seasons ago and we would now be attracting the best players in the Conference North to come and play in front of 800 people against Matlock, but we (Eric) decided to put what little money we had into the squad and play in front of 3000 at home to Stockport or in front of 13000 away at Bradford.

Would you prefer ASDA to drop their prices and make the product more attractively priced or would you prefer to push your trolley around solid oak floorboards with gold plated crash rails built onto them?

Morecambe as a town has roughly the same population as Accrington but does not have a Premiership and Championship club within 5 miles either side - sure it has Blackpool and Preston a little further afield but not quite as close as we have to suffer. Also they stopped in the Conference for about 12 years and spent all of the nineties and some of the eighties and noughties at least two leagues apart from us. They have had larger amounts of money for longer periods of time than we have and quite rightly should be better set up than us. The new ground they are building will be self funding apparently but as a town it can incorporate a hotel - we couldn't, it will incorporate a McDonalds - we couldn't, it will have floodlit community playing fields - our Council wouldn't allow it, their Community Team has been running for years and has about 500 kids signed up at any one time - we haven't as we haven't even been running a year yet.

So never mind about 'the trouble with you lot' - it's the trouble with numpties like you that we need to worry about. Impatient, jumped up brats with no life that think nowt better than belittling everything about the club they claim to support.

Nob off up to Barrow where you'd fit in better.

As someone who isnt a die hard- and i'll apologise now for posting on here, just wanted to give an outsider point of view.

1. I'm not an inbreed, but you do talk complete cack Depeche.

2. Yes Accy Stanley has come a long way, and I have no doubt that with the supporters it has, it will go a long way in the future

3. The financial stability of a club will be more important to an potential new player than one that has spangly curtains and so one.

4. I do however believe that with the right focus, Stanley can 'play with the big boys' even with Blackburn and Burnley on our doorstep. Granted, it will take time, but I have lost count the amount of places both inside and outside the UK, where I have spoken to people who have never heard of Blackburn, but mention Accrington Stanley and their eyes light up.

I personally believe that Accrington Stanley Management could do more working with their strengths, not only on the field, but off it, as a true business. Marketing, Google Page Ranking, fundraising etc should be given a more emphasis; get the money and the support from the community, and the council will soon click on to the financial prospect of the club and become more willing to work together.

This post is in now way knocking the achievements of Stanley so far, only that I have faith that we can go a lot further!

you can be at the top of the table but it does not mean the gates will be any better just ask hereford united.

Well, Depressed Mode (as Oggy calls him) has at least achieved something...he's got Stanley and Hereford fans agreeing with each other!

Depeche/depressed/pain in the rear,

If ya dont like it, think of things to change it instead of whinging on. I'm sure if you came up with constructive ideas to raise revenue, increase attendance and so on, people would welcome your comments

Do you drive on the M60 regularly? It's like a car park on stretches, especially around the M61.

I'm completely lost here. We seem to have drifted from changing rooms to the M60. Oh, the bliss of an ignore list!

the M60 isn't what it once was, somebody should sack the Minister for Transport!

Is it not easier and cheaper just to not supply them again ? Taking them to a football match to listen to 90 minutes of you ranting and raving seems a bit extreme to make them realise they aren't wanted. Unless of course the client is a Wrexham fan and listening to 90 minutes of abuse towards the opposition will take his mind off what an abysmal season they are having :)

Surely it's JC's fault, everything else is apparently ? :D

Now I understand. DM wants directions so he can join us in Wrexham. Well, take the M6, then the M5 and the M4. Once you've crossed the Severn Bridge, you're in Wales - that's where Wrexham is. You'll then need to come off the M4 at the next junction, pull in at the first pub and ask one of the locals for further directions. But be quick, before they form a click.

If, by any chance, they've already formed a click then PM me.

On second thoughts, that's not going to work either. :tongueout

Can't decide how I feel about this result. It's stopped Chester from leapfrogging us...but Wrexham are now 13 points behind us with three matches in hand. What does the panel think?

wrexham had a good run last year to avoid relegation. They will probably do the same again

Know what you mean, but I've thought the writing's been on the wall for Chester for a long while. They've (at first glance) got no easy games left, and finish against Macclesfield. This is Chester's graph:-

I'm not complacent, but we should get 8 points from the last 10 games.

Yep, you're probably right, Oggy. I'm obviously getting too neurotic about this. Time to return to the philosophy of mine and yonmon's guru! :D
