Dont forget if you are going on the bus get a day rover. Its £3.40 that will take you through to rochdale and bring you back again.

Re: Rochdale Away

Afraid you have to pay like normal, this is one of the 2/3 initiatives you are allowed to do aimed at home fans in a season.

im sorry but unless i stand corrected you are not allowed to offer incentives for the home fans and not the away fans.

Just seen a Stanley fan in town who had gone to pick up his ticket for the coach tomorrow after booking it over the phone on Thursday only to be told the coach has been cancelled, although it's still advertised on the fishy site - good job the 464 runs a decent Sunday service!

It's Mully's birthday tomorrow, let's hope he can celebrate with a couple of goals :)

You are allowed to do 2 or 3 a season.

Where does it say that?

RochdaleAFC 15-03-2008 18:52

Re: Rochdale Away

I don't know where it says it but I just know that you are allowed to do a small number of initiatives aimed at home fans per season. This will be our second after the recent Chesterfield game.

I can't find it in league rules, and Preston got told they couldn't do it a couple of years ago. Don't think any of us are going to be ripped off tomorrow.

Your club could save money by cancelling the away stewards, we'll all be sitting with you. :)

Re: Rochdale Away

Have emailed Rochdale -

[ As I understand Football League rules there should be no detriment to away supporters.
Could you please confirm price parity, or inform me of any changes I am not aware of.]

Anybody know if they can do this?

lancsdave 15-03-2008 19:39

Re: Rochdale Away

Preston had to drop their prices a couple of times this season because the away clubs objected. From memory they were operating a membership scheme which then allowed home fans a discount price, which of course they can't offer to home fans. They are not allowed to charge away fans anymore than the equivalent view as the home fans. The rules are a bit flakier when it comes to special days which clubs usually have 2 or 3 times a season.

Stanley get round the rules every home match

Same happened to me today. Does anyone know how long the bus takes to Rochdale and if there is a stop anywhere near the ground for the 464? Looking forward to the game. Hopefully I can get there!

Buses are every half hour on a Sunday at quarter to & quarter past the hour, takes approx. 1 hour & 10 minutes to Rochdale bus station but I think you then have to get another bus out to the ground.

Re: Rochdale Away

If you are getting the 464 then you will need to get the 444 or 445 towards the ground.

By my reckoning you should get the next 3 matches live.

Thanks for the advice Accymad and RochdaleAFC. The 464 was good value at £3.40 and the ground was quite easy find on foot. Would definately do the same next year and recommend it to other fans.

I agree, it's a lot nearer than I thought.
