Re: End of Season Presentation Evening

Thanks for that offer - but Lee has now sorted it. Great stuff, Lee.

But once again we are talking about the way that the club presents itself to the public. It ought not to be about persistence paying off (and I'm afraid that it doesn't always); it's about presenting a professional appearance to the public.

I'm travelling from Bristol for this match, and I want to buy a ticket for the Presentation Evening even though I'm not sure if I will be able to stay. I just want to support the club. I will still bother - but will others who are possibly less committed?

Re: End of Season Presentation Evening

I am probably more to blame than the Club is! The Club are selling tickets on my behalf!:o

Sorry for that!:o

I wanted to organise this Event with the full backing of the Supporters Club, Acccrington Stanley FC and a Sponsor, that is what has happened. I have never been to a Presentation Evening before so I only know what other people told me. Some people will probably say £5 is too much for a Ticket but what in this day and age can you get for a fiver?
I really do want this Event to sell out and hopefully set a benchmark for future Presentation Evenings. For me it is about trying to bring The Supporters, The Club & Sponsor closer together, forging links & Bonds and everbody having a good time.
I have tried to cover every avenue with where the tickets are sold for ease of purchase but as in most avenues of life not everything always runs smoothly, We have the backing of the Club for the Mangement, Staff & Players to attend, we have a fantastic cash sponsorship from Buy The House Estate Agents to get some good Raffle Prizes, we are also hoping to hold an Auction for some Stanley Goodies on the Evening and are also hoping to have footage of the reciepients running on the Big Screen while the Awards are being read out/presented which should add to the Evening! Then there's the "Coley-Oke" itself which should be fun! As well as Supper!

It promises to be a Good End to the Season:)

Please Support the Event:)

For Pendle Red: 4 golden oldies travelling up from the south, might or might not survive the excitement of the game and still be up for it in the evening, will we be able to pay our fivers at the door ?

Really hope you can join us... you could get your tickets for the eve in the shop or the crown before the match?? We're trying to get them sold before the event but in the case of any being left over they will be available on the door... or pm your details and I will sort out 4 tickets to be available to you in advance :)

For the first time ever we are getting public transport to the game against Bury, but our idea was to go round Accy for a bit after the game then catch a train back to Colne have a few beers round Colne then back to Barnoldswick via taxi, i mentioned to the others about the presentation evening but they said they would have come had it started straight after the game but they are wanting to be back on the train to Colne around 9pm ish, so it`s not really worth popping in for only an hour, however if tickets are available on the night you never know they may change their minds and could end up coming, i would have liked to have gone, but cant afford to get home on my own as i would have to get a taxi back on my own to B/Wick, not cheap i bet.

I think you need to be contacting pendle red as he will be at the night and he lives over that way :)

I'm really looking forward to the coley-oke, should be a good laugh :D

We have two Brierfielders, two Barrowforders, three Colners and one from Earby (Earbyite:D) so if you want to join us to get taxi/minibus no problem:)

Apologies for the thread wander, but has it struck anyone else that the Ribble Valley/Pendle area appears to be a veritable hotbed of Stanley support? Is there a potential here for increasing gates next season?

Jesus, i didn`t know the were any Accy fans in Earby, if i`d have known that we could have picked him up for the home games.
I couldn`t really just come on my own as it was me that origanlly got the others sorted for the night out round Accy, which was way back before the presentation evening was arranged, but i`m gonna try and get them to come to it.

Is anyone arranging an Accyweb night out this year, i think there was one at the end of last season, or maybe it was over the summer i cant remember now.

I usually bring 2 or 3 with me from B/wick and for a few games we`ve even had 2 cars coming, but unfortunately because of whats being delivered on the pitch as put a few off them off coming.
I`ve tried on quite a few occasions to get a minibus full from our local drinking hole, everyone express`s an interest until it comes to it, usually because there`s a live match on at dinner time and then another at 5.15pm so most would rather sit in the club all afternoon and watch them instead :thumbsdow, but i`ll keep trying for next season.

there is usually an afternoon pub crawl of some description for all the Stanley forumers which last season ended up at the general Accy web 'meeting'
