How much extra time is the ref playing? Has he lost his watch?

1-0. 3 points, clean sheet, job done. Still 17th but much closer to safety. Well done Coley and the lads.

Just wait 'til you find out who it was, (I'm sure the club will be happy with a donation for the new changing rooms)

Poor game tonight, but the 3 points are very welcome. Really glad we won, but yet again I have to question Coleman's substitutions. Sometimes I wonder what he's thinking.

He was thinking - "1 up and we need to bring a midfielder on to help keep things tight". Unfortunately we always lose our heads and go to panic stations under those circumstances and can't keep hold of the ball for toffee. Never mind - a great battling performance with captain Cav having a blinder. I don't think any of us in the Clayton end would say it was a poor game though. I'll be hoarse tomorrow.

We were doing ok before the substitution. Whalley was having his best game in ages and he's taken off (no pace up front and no release from the pressure) and replaced with Harris, who lost the ball more times than not. The one thing that Harris was good at was getting stuck in, but over the last month he's been one of our poorest players and tonight he was a liability.

As soon as we went to 1 up front we were under constant pressure and an equaliser was just waiting to happen.

As for it being a poor game, how many real saves did Roberts have to make? How many shots did we have? I was on the Clayton End tonight I thought it was poor overall, but still welcomed the 3 points.

I`ll stick my neck out. I thought it was a relegation dog fight (Er which it was, actually) We got a scrappy goal then defended way to deep. I was just waiting for the enevitable equaliser and the late winner and then Roberts prancing with delight in front of the Clayton End. Luckily it didn`t happen but definately not a great game:(

Bloody dire performance the only reason we won was that they were even worse than we were.

Stanley started brilliantly and cav did indeed play a blinder for the full 90 however his mate Ian seriously needs to be dropped he's done nout for countless games, the ref had more contact with the ball carrying it off the pitch than Craney did in the entire game.

Fail to see why Whalley started again, the lad tries there's no doubting that but he ain't a striker and why to consistently play him out of position when we've got Leighton going to waste on the bench I do not know.

A plus was Bobby Grant - promising performance with some good delivery, if he learns to stick his head up a bit more and look for the pass a few more times than running into dead ends he could be a very valuable asset. Also bravo to Coley for playing a winger on each wing. Football genious.

Back four looked solid - for a Stanley defence. Kempson once again stood out as the most valuable Stanley player on the pitch.

Silly sending off for leam and I doubt he'll be getting a game in a long time after arguing with Bell on his way off and then muttering insults to his critics in the crowd.

Once we took the lead we seemed to lose composure and instead of keeping at them played deep - not exactly our strength now is it ? That along with illogical substitutions from the management made me grateful we were only playing against D+R and to be fair they have a right to feel they earned a point tonight.

We're safe, but need work.
