Ideal Location

If we could move the ground to a different part of town where do you think the best location would be for attracting much more needed support and merchandising revenue?
Town centre has got to be the best option and i think it would benefit every trader in the centre.

If we could move the ground, it would need to be somewhere where the local community can see it every day in order to reinforce the belief that we are a major part of the community. It would need to be somewhere with good road links and a local community that wants it. We can't afford to buy up existing properties to demolish and neither can we build on green belt land. The site where we are is good enough if we had the money that a new build would cost.

Somehow get the Accy Amateurs to vacate their pitch and move our ground over there. There is room for our existing ground to be expanded by 50% and re-angled as far over as possible. Hundreds of car park spaces (at £3 a pop every matchday) in between that and the current ground. The current ground without stands could be rotated 90 degree and doubled up, allowing two pitches for training and community use (including Ultras, Ladies and Youth teams).

Bring the entire set up under one Umbrella and make each and every aspect economically viable. The existing site is just fine if we had more of it!

Location of the ground has nothing to do with support.
All we need is the time, patience and mild indoctrination techniques to bring future generations to Accrington Stanley. A bit of tweaking here and there in marketing will sort out the short term problems, but there is absolutely nothing we can do right now to bring in an extra 1500 fans overnight. Well, apart from bombing every other football club in the north west... and my plans are already well underway for that.

The only reason our ground should be relocated would be in the event of a demand to expand to meed the regulations of whatever league we'd be in. Otherwise it's pointless.

STOP PRESS!...

A scene behind the Coppice End (Circa 2009). Where 'mild indoctrination tecniques' are being practiced upon a lad from Huncoat who in an unguarded moment indicated some interest in becoming a Stanley Fan.
This is the first ever sighting of this 'new initiative', which the F.A. are monitoring closely before introducing it to Club Chairmen for their approval.
The Stanley administrators described the occasion as a
'Grand addition to pre-match and during-the-Interval entertainment'!. ( End Quote)

'What me worry ?'....
