Player of the Year voting

There will be people at the turnstiles on saturday handing out voting slips for Player of the Year, Young Player of the Year and Supporter of the Year.

Player of the Year criteria is that they must have played more than 20 games this season so the list is:

Arthur
Roberts
Craney
Richardson
Edwards
Dunbavin
Harris
Proctor
Williams
Mullin

Young Player of the Year was a little trickier owing to ages and few games played etc. Final Criteria was that they must be 23 or under and have played 5 games or more. Final selection is:

McGivern
Mannix
Whalley
Edwards
Harris

Supporter of the Year can only be voted for by OSC members. You must write either your membership number or name on the slip so that we can verify the vote.

Further reminder that the Presentation Night will take place on the 3rd May in the Clubhouse after the Bury game.

Doors open at 7:30pm and tickets are priced at a fiver. John Coleman has informed the squad that they must attend. Once the tickets have sold there will be no more admitted so please get your tickets early to avoid disappointment

Personally I would say there are a few candidates - Phil Edwards, Kenny Arthur and Leam Richardson for three

Re: Player of the Year voting

thanks to all that did actually vote today.

Official crowd was 1288 and we received about 450 voting slips back, so thats not too bad - about 1 in 2 (and a little bit).

When the votes are released there will be people who disagree but maybe they should have voted? It was very tight and there was only 13 votes between 1st and 3rd for main Player of the Year. Young player of the year was even tighter. Only 4 votes separated 1st and 2nd and forced a recount.

Supporter of the Year was even funnier (IMHO). People who do go to meetings and know what was going on didn't vote, people voted for themselves, people voted legitimately but didn't put their names or numbers down etc. Next season Supporter of the Year will definitely be done by post to members only.

Anyroad, the results will be made known at the Presentation Night on the 3rd May after the Bury match, tickets available now for £5 from the club bar and shop, The Crown and the three area shops of Buy the House.

thanks again to those who voted

I voted for Edwards as young player of the year and Arthur for the main award. I couldn't see any other choice.

Snap, although it was hard choosing between Leam and Kenny.
