Website Player Of The Year?

What does anyone think about having a website player of the year award this season. We did this for a few seasons but for one reason or another it didn't happen last year. I though seeing as how we're having an official presentation evening this year, we could revive it. This will also give anyone a chance to vote if they weren't able to yesterday. If anyone wants to vote for their choice of player for this award, they can post it in this thread.
Deadline for votes is Thursday 1st May and if I don't have enough time to sort out a trophy and get it engraved, I thought maybe I could get a bottle of champagne for the winner.

Can I suggest you state what time on May 1st :)

Good idea, think we used to give a brief reason why as well, e.g. Evil - he likes champagne with his pies.

Good idea, let's say midnight - then I can do a count up on the Friday.
Yes you're right Oggy, if people want to give a reason they can but don't really need to, I think the only 'rule' needs to be is that it's just one vote per person.

Are you only allowing the same players as in the paper voting or is it any player.

Roscoe D'Sane, for being the best strike partner Paul Mullin ever had this season and for scoring some vital goals

I`ll also go for Roscoe D`Sane, i thought he was a quality player, but if he doesn`t count i`ll have to stick with Paul Mullin.

Jay Harris For Me. Works 110% every game and thats what stands out above all the other players this season. Not a good season so hard choice.

Isn't it usually tradition to vote for current players?
McEvilly & Roberts are still our players but D'Sane is not.

Yea, you're right the votes should be for current players only, players who are still officially ours although on loan are included but not ones who have left permanently. Outback Ozzy, if you want to change your vote that's fine - if not I'm sorry but your vote won't count and Haz 66, I'll record your second choice vote. Maybe I should have made it clearer at the start of this thread, sorry for any confusion.

Leam Richardson for me as well please, in a season of few highlights his cross for Procky, his exquisite chip for Aswad, which both created goals, and his goal against Brentford stand out for me, plus his attitude and love of liners. ;)

Re: Website Player Of The Year?

Kenny Arthur...if he hadn't been injured, I reckon we would be comfortably mid-table by now...and if he hadn't returned when he did, I believe that our goal difference would be even worse and we would be deep in relegation trouble.
