Off limits?

Is the news in the papers today off limits or have I missed something?

Sorry if it's been said and removed.

Re: Off limits?

No. But I can offer you a good tip. Guarenteed winner though! ;)

No. Bury have been unstopable for a few weeks, and Accy have been poor..(no offence).
Did you know the ref, linesmen and 4th official were changed on Friday on the back of this?????

No, then yes, then no, and now yes again, and maybe no again if it's gone in the morning.

Oggy 04-05-2008 23:45

Re: Off limits?

Just think the 2/1 was a massive misjudgement from the bookies, something that professional gamblers are always on the lookout for and dive in accordingly.

It's only half a point shorter than Wrexham were to beat us back in October!

bury where as big as 2/1!
what did they get backed into before the off?

maccawozzagod 05-05-2008 14:19

Re: Off limits?

10/11 I think was the final offering before most took it down.

Bury PPV site were offering 2-1 and refunds on 0-0, there is nothing to suggest wrong doing in my opinion. Stanley, with 15 defeats at home are awful. Bury have been in form the last few weeks. Nowt to play for, probable youth players on show (as per the previous week) there was no way on earth Bury were double (triple-depends on your view) your money.

Anyone with any sense and a few quid would have backed that price.

Bagpuss 05-05-2008 15:50

Re: Off limits?

But the bets where on 2-0 to Bury not just Bury to win.

I genuinley cant see anyone at the club being stupid enough to get involved with something like this, lets just hope that thier Legal Bods are on to it, God knows weve had enough bad press recently:(

Doesn't make sense in terms of the odds, 2/1 is very poor for a correct score, and there's no way it would be backed down to odds on.

Understand why the mods deleted first thread, people should stick to the facts.

The 2-0 is also mentioned again in the 606 Thread, doesn`t mean it`s correct but the 2-0 score keeps popping up.

posted 6 Hours AgoI think it was £300,000 plus bet on the match but apparently one bet was a six figure bet that Bury would win by two goals or more...

You have to laugh at Mansfield fans who are getting excited about this story, maybe that's where it all started?

I think I'm just annoyed I missed the 2/1, of course I wouldn't dream of betting on Football.

2/1 with our home record. :pnowink: what were the bookies thinking?

Mine are almost 2. just thought they would look good during the summer, and although Im not a football fan theres a strong possibility that they will be which means I would encourage them to be stanley fans given the fact that its mine and their home town and that i could take them to stanley matches etc
