Re: Alty Have been Rescued
What a shame for the Shay faithful, football is completly losing the plot.
Outside the Premiership its dog eat dog!! I hope they re-build the club and make a great comeback!:( |

Maybe this thread should be titled 'Sad Day for Town' or similar. The news of Alty's escape is nothing compared to what Town's fans are suffering. I can only commiserate and hope that they can effect a resurgence, à la Telford. |

Re: Alty Have been Rescued
What a damn shame - and flamin' Alty get reprieved again because of it! They should be renamed Houdini United, the jammy gits.

Re: Alty Have been Rescued
Sick of these Alty escapes, why dothe Conference keep rewarding a BAD team. Theyve had enough chances, yet never build or go forward , leaving many Alty fans believing the Conf North is their level and thinking it would be good to actually see some wins. Surely it would be better to promote the play-off runners up instead? (Stalybridge).

Re: Alty Have been Rescued
They should have a match Alty vs Stalybridge at a neutral venue, that would be fair?? :o
But they won't? |
Re: Alty Have been Rescued
Logically, after the last few seasons, Alty fans should be sorry they're not going down. But I bet they're not .. hope springs eternal (some Accywebbers excepted :) :hidewall:)

Re: Alty Have been Rescued
Alty are just realistic - they are a part time club because they have a small budget. if they went full time, finished mid table and went bust - would their fans be happy?
It seems only full time clubs do well in the conference. |
