For next season, I plan to get a few more banners & wondered if there would be interest from other Stanley fans. Basically, Bubs has most of the flags but we could easily do with more. I'm making a huge stanley banner & plan to take ticker tape (remember Colchester) to all away games.

How about a few more make flags so that we are the most colourful set of away fans in the conference.

For Ideas check out www.barmyflags.co.uk. They even have a flag designer although there prices are expensive so try this:

Easy enough, find an idea, sketch it down on a piece of paper, work out what colours you want in it and decide what the easiest base colour is gonna be.

Buy a bed sheet, or raid the airing cupboard and get going, easy as ...ahem 'Pie'

Easy enought to get iron on tape (or wonder web - ask yer mum) that sticks fabric together to get the pattern you want from the material you have sourced...cut it out, iron on the tape and voila...a flag thats talior made, cheap easy and effective http://www.smiliemania.de/smilie/00000466.gif

Alternatively get paint and paint the design on the flag.

of course if you do follow the example above, make sure you don't make the same mistake most of them did.. make yours the right way around. They must have been gutted by the time they'd finished and realised :(

The thing about that is....if we have loads of people in the ground with banners of that size, think of the amount of people who won't be able to watch the match because there is a gigantic banner in the way.

Oooooh Mr Kipax, you can't have just me doing it.

But I will be "unfurling" my efforts at the Southport pre season game. (Get the camera ready) I also have something up my sleeve for Halifax away!

I would look silly walking around the pitch with a flag and a camera :) I dont get on the terrace much... Maybe at night matches when cant use the camera :)

But I will chip in to any fund buying a BIG flag... no problemo boy! hehehe :)

Me, Jimbo, loweiy and Rob Bought a thousand red and white balloons for the unibond capaign.. i bet theres some of them left... If the idea is to be colourfull then its not just flags :)

Tickertape, Ballons, Blow up things (ooer) and flags...owt else?

Oh yeagh what happened to my fancy dress idea...is Burton away still the fixture for that?

Unfortunately, I think it is standard prectice to not have ticker tape or streamers at a home game as Accy people would have to sweep it all up. But I will think of others for that game

I've made a flag, it's 6 x 4 ft, a st georges' cross, and says "accrington stanley" horizontally across. If you were there at the Rochdale friendly, you may have seen it hanging at the back of the stand. I won't be going to all away games but when i am i'll bring it with me.

be best 2 do it all at away games boys coz it takes a lot of work cleaning all the balloons and crap up of the terracing..... i know as i do it often!!!!!

Absolutely Gutted about last night....but we have to move on ....

As everyone knows, we are at home to Hereford this Monday & we have the footballing world (including Barrow & Alty) tuning in to the game. In preparation of this, I have up my sleeve a little "display" to be done for the bit when the teams are announced & the crowd is scanned by the SKY team.

Should be impressive & your mum may see you on the tele!
8 volunteers minimum for about 10 mins maximum.
