everton are also down to a skelton squad at the moment.

moyes stated today he wants another 5-6 players.

if one or two of them arrived before the friendly, it wouldnt suprise me to see a gate over 4,000.

Nice game to have..I hope Accy gets a beaut crowd....but I have always wondered how come Blackburn don't play friendlies more often.I know we had one last year, but I wouldve thought it would be regular like the Dingles do..??

I wouldnt get over excited. Remember the match last year against Man City "XI" ;)

Jimbo T Hornblower 23-07-2008 06:28

Re: Everton Friendly

I dont care if its reserves, XI, whatever. Its the only game on whilst Im over (apart from the visit to the cul-de-sac which I refuse to waste my time and hard earned money on) so I will be there.... Hopefully the new shirts will also be ready by then fingers crossed

Re: Everton Friendly

I had to tell workmates today that it had been changed to Everton Reserves, didn't go down too well after I had built up the fixture. I told them if you are a Stanley fan this is something to get used to, excitement followed by a low.

Re: Everton Friendly

:)Why o why can't we attract high profile teams that will send there first team it might not seem abig game or a big team there playing but it means a lot to the supporters of Stanley,we can only dream of the Evertons of the footie world so when the oppertunitie comes around what happeneds we get the Reserves as like last year when M City played at the FES,high hopes of seeing the ex england manager shattered, well you know what i mean ;)..

baldy 23-07-2008 17:40

Re: Everton Friendly

Suprised we havnt seen more games at the FES to hopefully get some money for the stand in ... like liverpool with Bavs knowing a few of them ... or are we only playing a few so we get more on at the 2 games we are playin instead of 4 or 5 games, and also that way helps save the pitch
