Overhaul in the stanley coop

Seems that changes behind the scenes are afoot according to fishy site. Congrats to David O'Neil, whose now general manager full time with a newbie - well to me Gavin Roper who will take over the role as head of Commercial Operations.

Mmmm good news that things may improve dramactically within the clubs infrastructure from now on & will no doubt see [hopefully] reduction of complaints:D:mosher:

congratulations to David. He has worked hard behind the scenes to make improvements and get things happening, and part time, and gratis.

Also welcome to Gavin, good luck matey.

Just to echo the sentiments already expressed. These appointments are needed - they are two years too late but at least they show evidence of progress. Let's hope the new incumbents are given free rein.

Yep, let's hope that this is the start of a new, improved off-the-field Stanley...more efficient and imaginative merchandising, improved communication with the fans and an all-round more amibitious attitude to promoting the club in the wider community!

Met Dave last night and he is a sound bloke but I wont reveal his identity on here :) Had a very interesting conversation and am very exited about the stuff that he is currently trying to organise - especially for us far away internet fans :)

I really hope that they get the support that they need to make the commercial side of things a success.

A good move by the club and one that's we've been crying out for since Lew left.

Congratulation to both David & Gavin on your appointments,a very good and astute move, I think it will bring about greater stability for the Club and open up all whole new revunue streams to the Club.:)

I think as Stanley hit the BIG 40 what better time for the Club to perhaps reinvent and rejuvenate itself? (wish I could do that:()

that TM is the main thing, would be unfair fer em to get any stick, if the backing was not really with em.
