Gills Fan - Info Required

In order to complete the match preview for Saturday on the Rivals site, I wonder if you could help with the following:
  • Best Attendance: figure/against/date & competiton
  • Best league win: score/against/date & competition
  • Worst league loss: score/against/date & competition
  • Most capped player: who/how many/who for
  • League appearances: who/how many/over how long
  • League goals: who/how many/when
  • Transfer fee received: how much/who for/who from/when
  • Transfer fee paid: how much/who for/who to/when
Thanks and good luck for the season, except this weekend and 7th March of course.

  1. unverified. If you don't work at the Tax Office then it was a pre-season friendly against Burnley in 2004. There were almost 9000 on. And it rained. A lot. For tax purposes there were really only 2500 on. And it still rained. Which is why it looked like more were on. Really.
  2. any of the 31 wins (from 95) so far
  3. we beat Peterborough by 8-2 in a parellel universe last year
  4. John McNally, 16 caps, England (subbuteo internationals) 1995
  5. Paul Mullin, over 400 games, over four decades - still playing for us age 54
  6. Paul Moulden, over 300, Bolton Boys league 1991. It was a new world record (in Bolton - much like the World Series at Baseball) eclipsing the previous World Record held by Ian Rush. In St Asaphs. That probably still stands. Probably.
  7. Undisclosed
  8. Undisclosed

Hope that helps. Which Gill is it that you are a fan of? Gillian Anderson? - I would :D

You'd be better off contacting our match day secretary/club historian.

Call 01254 356950 and ask for Phil Terry or email [email protected]
