Number of loanees
As the number of loanees rises we need to bear in mind a case last season that highlighted FL limitations:

Re: Number of loanees
Think that is only 5 at the club in total so far, so O.K. at present but I suppose you are right it will not take much more - a couple of bad injuries to our own players and we could be skating on thin ice! But that is what we do isn't it?????

Five on the team sheet Tuesday night! Thats bordeline now isn't it? Possibly time to send 1 or 2 back.

Re: Number of loanees
I think too many loanees are bad for the club. not just because of the possibility of a points deduction or fine, but because if I were a reserve player trying to battle my way into the first team,I would be disapointed in not getting a chance because players from other clubs would breeze in for a few weeks then go back. I think this would be bad for moral. I understand Stanleys predicament(small squad, short of finance, etc), but I hope players coming on loan are kept to a minimum

Re: Number of loanees
Well to my way of thinking 5 is the maximum any club can have on lone at any one time, but I think the reason for the lone system is to help out clubs like Stanley where money is very tight So long has some one on the admin sides keeps a rein on things there shouldn't be a problem. Its usually clubs from higher divisions who let young players go out on load to give them match experience and at the same time help other clubs that haven't got the cash to splash out in the transfer market. One of the biggest exponents of this is Man United who send lots of youth team players out on loan every year

Re: Number of loanees
I believe that the number of loanees is unlimited, but only 5 can be in the team (+ subs) at any one time.
There's no issue as far as I can see. |

This quote from the 'Vital Luton Town' (Who are they?) Website would seem to confirm what you say T-M !. Emergency loans can be taken out at any time between Friday 8 February and 5pm on March 27, 2008 and can only be used by Football League clubs loaning players in from other clubs in England, including those from the Premier League. International switches are not allowed including Scotland and Ireland. Players can be signed for a maximum period of 93 days on such loans. Players on emergency loan can be recalled by their own clubs after 28 days have expired, but not before. Only five loan players (whether standard or emergency) can be named on the team sheet for any one game and no more than four players can be loaned from one club to another in any one season. Emergency loan signings can be made up to three hours before a league game. Unless of course the FA in their wisdom have updated their rulings !!. 'ON STANLEY !......ON !!!' |
