Predictions for Wycombe game
 
I will update the league table as soon as I can with the Shrewsbury predictions but in the meantime I best get the next lot underway. So the next test for Stanley is the visit of the unbeaten table topping Chairmen of Wycombe Wanderers to the FES.

Not sure if theres much point in going into details, but table toppers Wycombe have won 3 and drawn 3 at home and exactly the same for their away record so they have consistency at least. They arent at the top by a country mile - Shrewsbury are only 3 behind them and we all know what happened to them! They werent worth a 2-0 win when I saw them at the FES last season either. Our record against Wycombe is quite impressive. Since we came into the football league, theyve only beaten us once in 4 attempts and that was the most recent meeting, a 2-0 defeat last season at Accy.

Anyway will Stanley catch the Chairboys sitting on their laurels come 4.45 Saturday afternoon or will Wycombe be sitting pretty? Deadline for all predictions will be kick off which is this coming Saturday, 25th October at 15:00 (the last of the year) BST - those nights are drawing in folks :(

As we seem to play the better teams in this league and come out on top (Bradford apart) then I think another 2-1 win is in order for this Saturday - That's 2-1 win for Stanley

I'm going to be positive on this one. We beat Shrewsbury on Tuesday evening and Wycombe have been unconvincing in recent games, despite their unbeaten record, so I see no reason why we cannot win again. :)

Ok a bit of catching up to do. First of all the predictions made for Tuesdays fine home win against the Salop saw the following people get 5 points for correctly predicting a 2-1 Stanley win : carpon, mab, ME (again! ;) ) and Revived Red. One post didnt count, that was Div3North's 'us and them' prediction. In response to BTLawson's question about a bonus point for the Luton game, you got 3 points for your prediction, not 1.

Yesterdays game saw one winner only, madkev - well done for correctly predicting a 1-0 Wycombe win. A few posts didnt count, Div3North again, leylandii and jaysay. Yes Leylandii, anyone can join in at any time throughout the season but you need to make the prediction clearer than 'to us' or 'to them'. Some people might ask who are us and who are them as everyone might not know if you are a fan from an opposition team or not as they do also have a go now and again. It is in the rules of the 'game'.
