FOR any fans that came to Dagenham Saturday

one of our fans has labelled our club inhumane for apparantly "leaving' your supporters out in the uncovered away end, in the rain up until half time.

it appaeared to myself and many other fans that infact most of you chose to remain there, with your umbrellas, same as some of the home fans stayed behind the opposite goal.

I just wondered if anyone that was there would have something to say on our supporters comments, is she correct?

Thanks alot and well played saturday by the way, one of the best football sides have personally seen this year.

You are absolutely right - your turnstile staff did everything they could to persuade me to pay £3 more for a stand ticket, but like an idiot I said no.

Then at halftime when we were all sheltering under anything we could find that had a roof, the stewards came round and told us all we could go into the stand for the second half - which we all did, bar one stalwart soul.

Anyway, you needn't feel sorry for us until after you've stood on the uncovered Coppice terrace when you come to the frozen north :).

And thanks for the kind remarks - I thought we were good too !

We also offer covered terrace to away fans.. I doubt dagenham will ever bring enough to overspill into the open end :)

Plus there was one other stanley fan who had to stay in the pouring rain throughout the match and even though wrapped up had a quite damp 5 hr drive home :(

We went into the stand after about quarter of an hour and we weren't charged any extra.

I found the stewarding a little over the top. A Bangladesh Youth Development project were guests of Dagenham & Redbridge. They were seated in the stand with the away fans. One of the kids had his knuckles wrapped for taking photos of the game. What the major issue with a teenage tourist capturing some memories was beyond me. We were also asked to sit down, despite being in the back row and having stood throughout the first half without causing harm to life or limb.

Does anyone have an idea why the 3 Accrington lads were escorted away by the Police 10 mins from the end?

Your not allowed to take pictures from any seats or terraces at any football ground in the country at any level... being on holiday or age isnt in the small print.. I agree its daft but thems the rules.

Being told to sit down is equally as daft...The other week we had 20 fans stood in a seated area for around 2000.. 20 fans told to sit and even had the police tell them... thousands of empty seats all around... crackers :)

Thats footy these days :(

Yes he was and top marks to him - just wish he hadn't had such a good game, especially those two saves in the first half. But ...

As a southern exile who only gets to the occasional game down my way, I have nothing but respect for the lads who make it every week from Accy and I am delighted to add my best bellow to their chants ..... well most of them. But no way am I going to chant anything about anyone taking anything up any orifice, even if the target apparently enjoys the "banter" - and it embarrasses me when people I'm associated with do it, especially when the stand is full of kids.

Ducking now before people tell me it's all part of the rich matchday experience ....:hidewall:

If anyone wants to engage me in debate in person some time, that's me in the yellow waterproof in Kipax's first-half pictures of the soggy supporters .....

They were having the craic with Roberts, but then someone started swearing at him, the steward asked them to stop swearing and one of the Stanley supporters started shouting at the steward. Somebody then shouted "Roberts, you are a c**t", the police then arrived, asked the culprit to leave, he refused and started shouting at the police. He was then escorted out. As far as I know there was only one supporter escorted from the ground.
