Re: Man utd away

Maybe it's best to wait for confirmation on t'fishy site but a quick look at United's site shows that it's Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's reserve team that we'll be facing and that their home games are now played at Moss Lane, Altrincham's ground. Prices are £5 for adults and £2 for concessions. Bus to Bury and then direct tram?

From Manchester United's site on 5 November 08:

Reserves move to Moss Lane

The Reserves' home games will take place at Moss Lane for the remainder of the 2008/09 season.

The Reds have spent the last 14 months playing at the Marston's Arena in Northwich, but have now switched to the home of Altrincham FC.

The switch marks a return to Moss Lane for the Reds, who used the ground between 2002 and 2005, prior to using Hyde United's Ewen Fields.

Last week's Manchester Senior Cup defeat to Bolton took place at Moss Lane, and the Reds will next be in competitive action against Middlesbrough on 27 November.

Prices for all home games will remain at £5 for adults and £2 for concessions, while season ticket holders and One United members can gain free entry.

hi jeff,

wish i could tell you! we're having a nightmare, hannah has been trying to get hold of someone since last week, apparently their reserve team secretary is off poorly and it would seem nobody else can deal with our enquiry - small understaffed club perhaps?

told her to ring alex or that glazier fella... anyway if nobody lets us know we're just going down to northwich and claiming the game if they don't show up, we have the confirmation emails saying that's where it is from earlier in the season...

seriously though, we’re waiting for someone from the lfa to get back to us at the moment after giving up on man utd.

best regards,

rob

Re: Man utd away

Why is this even listed as a first team fixture ? It isnt the first team that plays and going by past games it isnt even the first team management that take the games... so why does a reserve team managed by the reserve team management get elevated to a first team fixture

anyone?
